Scent of the day... Carolina Herrera 212 VIP for Men. This has been the most confusing scent to me. It’s a woody oriental scent and I do love that grouping of fragrances. What confuses me are the top notes. This is a classic woody oriental scent that mixes gin, vodka, and passion fruit. The heart and the dry down are very nice. Those notes tend to reflect both One Million & Halloween Man. This is something that I had anticipated higher marks on. I enjoy the use of passion fruit and the mint with the two alcoholic notes but it seems to want to be something else with that opening. This is definitely not a day scent and would lend better to anything after 5pm where you’re hanging out. I didn’t catch too many whiffs during the day. I went heavy on the application and enjoyed basking in the aroma. My skin everything last a little longer and this does a remarkable job as lingering as a skin scent. I rate this a solid 3 out of 5 for it’s uniqueness. But this isn’t unique enough to have the 50ml bottle. My favorite scent so far

Definitely sits close to the skin. You won't smell it unless someone is smelling your skin. It does have a powdery sweetish scent. It could almost be gender neutral.

Starts slow/faint but scent builds over time

I don’t like it. It’s a bit too sweet for me. It also does not last. I overlooked the fact this scent is for a younger guy. I’m 45.

Like it a lot wore it out the first night I got it in the mail. Definitely a head turner. Only issue is at one spray it’s strong as hell for the first 2-3 hours .

Found the scent to begin with too much pepper, after about an hour it mellows out and becomes much more to my liking. I would give 5 stars for the base note, but with such a sharp top note I will give 4 stars, would wear this again.

Good smell, not my favorite. Website states the cologne is a summertime smell however I would say it’s not as light as most summer fragrances. Would recommend as more of a fall feel, indoors for a nice private dinner or event. Not for a party atmosphere. All in all it’s a good cologne just not my normal style.
