I absolutely love this fragrance! It’s the perfect mix of sweet and sophisticated, the almond and vanilla notes make it feel so warm and cozy. My only complaint is the longevity; I find myself needing to reapply after a couple of hours. Still, it’s a classic that I’ll keep in my rotation.

Burberry Brit is one of my favorite fragrances of all time!!! It's a prefect blend of crisp fruits in the opening, with a nutty, warm, creamy, base that makes for such a beautiful balanced perfume for a gourmand lover like myself, that isn't too vanilla forward. I don't like citrus perfumes, but the pear and bergamot in this are SO great paired with the warm woody, amber base. I only wish that is had better longevity. I would love to find something else like this as it has been discontinued! So sad!

This is a PERFECT holiday scent. The moment I sprayed it I felt like I was sitting by the fire in a cozy French chateau while snow falls outside a foggy window. So cozy and warm. It smells so luxurious and rich. Seductive. Doesn’t smell too young and doesnt smell too old. Just a solid luxe creamy scent I would fully buy a bottle to put in my rotation. I am NOT a vanilla girlie, I usually hate anything overwhelmingly vanilla but this is lovely. Gives that warm sexy vibe.

Very unique fragrance. There is an overall spiciness to it that I enjoy. The lime note gives it a lot of depth. I saw some other reviews saying it doesn't project much but that was not the case at all for me. This fragrance is loud and strong. I like it a lot for the evenings and special occasions. I've been wearing this since it first came out. I purchased a full bottle here. I love the whole Burrberry line. My favorite was Burrberry Red but they no longer carry the scent. Pretty long lasting. Everyone in the car will, in fact, smell this perfume. I personally love this scent. Wouldn't wear it on a date as it comes of a little masculine, but perfect for the office/work. I'd love to describe exactly what I'm smelling... but all i can describe is the mood: sexy, sweet and business. I think I saw someone describe it as feminine cologne; I would agree. Oh this is not for me. I've had to get away from fruity florals due to extreme scent sensitivity, and those used to be my favourites. They don't even smell good to me anymore, even when they're not headache/fibro flare inducing. I ordered this based on reviews that it was a gourmand with sweet vanilla and almond. But all I smell is sickeningly sweet fruit and amber. Not a single trace of vanilla or almond. The fruit started with lime, which I do like, then quickly became cloying pear, which I'm discovering I don't like in perfume. For hours now I just smell overripe, sweet sweet fruit, and sweaty amber. It's reminding me of when I tested the Ari body mist at a drugstore (which I also strongly disliked, but I do love Cloud). Other skin chemistry may enjoy this, but I do not. Love the pink tube, and that's it for this one. I guess "gourmand" category on here includes fruit??? I'll have to watch out for that next time.

This is a great smelling, versatile fragrance . It would be appropriate for a variety of occasions (casual, office, even happy hours or out to dinner) and a wide age range (doesn't smell juvenile or overly mature). I think this has mass appeal - it has the fruitiness of the pear and the sweetness of vanilla and almond, but it's not overly sweet or cloying. The lime gives it a bit of zing and freshness and it has some depth/complexity to it. I would wear this one in fall, winter, and spring - probably too much for very hot summer weather. To me, this is an easy reach fragrance that I will get a lot of wear out of.

I'm 22 and this smelled very masculine to me which took me by surprise. I did not spray it on my arm and let it settle, so maybe the dry down smells better. Just smelling it off the bottle I didn't like it for myself. It's not my cup of tea, but my mom liked it...all personal preference

The only reason I am not giving this five stars is because of the longevity issue. It smells wonderful and delicious. It has a subtle sweet smell. This is the first perfume I’ve gotten that my husband actually liked. The only bad thing is it does not last at all. I have had to reapply it three times. Also not a smell that is going to move away from your body. Definitely an up close and personal scent. I will definitely be buying a full bottle though

Brit is more powdery and mature smelling than I would have liked. The peppery notes are nice -- warm and balanced -- but don't strike a chord with me. This fragrance has a heavier feel to it. I wouldn't characterize it as fresh or clean or bright. It's definitely a scent for short days and cool nights. There was a very noticeable change as the top notes faded away, which they did very quickly. The pepperiness blended in more and the scent became softer and younger. It isn't overwhelming, so it's suitable for office wear. I don't think there's anything special about Brit, good or bad. It's just another fragrance.

This perfume smells very strongly of a sharp/sour citrus when you first spray it, and lasts like that for about 10 minutes. Then, when it dries, it smells warmer and more like vanilla and almond. The dry down I would compare to Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s similar. the perfume doesn’t last very long at all, and doesn’t project the way I would’ve liked it to. It’s a pleasant scent when dry. I probably wouldn’t buy a full bottle.

*This was the Monthly Manager's pick for October* I'm giving this scent 3 stars because it definitely lingers for quite a while, which is exactly what I am looking for. However, this scent, unfortunately, is not one that my nose likes. It's bold & musky and after a while gave me a headache; mind you, this was just a small spritz test on my inner left wrist. Not for me. It does not necessarily smell bad, it just has a sweetness that I am not fond of. It somewhat reminds me of someone at the club smoking and wearing strong perfume. That smell mix anyone who has been to a club knows. I do like Burberry Brit Sheer and the Rhythm Floral, but this one is just not my cup of tea.

I only gave 3 stars because this scent was amazing! Very feminine and wore nicely! The only issue which happens to be the worst.. the longevity was sooo bad. Within an hour you couldn’t smell it anymore. With small bottles that are supposed to last a month having to reuse constantly like this one, you’re only getting a weeks worth. :/

I really enjoyed this scent from the start. It's a perfect daytime or evening fall scent. It starts off a little strong on the alcohol side but quickly switches to a warm, yet sweet smell. I wish it lasted longer though. I felt I had to apply a great amount or re-apply after a couple hours.

At first I did not like this scent at all; it was too "old lady-ish", but after wearing it for a few days I liked it a lot. I'm not sure yet if I'd purchase a whole bottle, but it's definitely on my mind. I'm still trying to find that scent that just WOWs me. Growing up I loved "Just Play" by Avon, but they discontinued it YEARS ago and I haven't found a scent I love since then! So far I'm loving Ski by Gorgio Armani and Candy Kiss Night by Prada, but I still have 12 months of subscription to go LOL.

It starts off unpleasantly sharp, sour, even acrid -- I think it's the lime, I usually like citrus but I really don't like the lime in this scent. However it mellows out fairly quickly into a soft, warm, powdery vanilla, which I really enjoy! I also love how it lasts forever on me (I could still smell the vanilla faintly 24 hours later). Would have gotten five stars if the top notes were balanced better but overall I like it :)

I LOVE this scent, reminds me of a mid 20's to late 20's successful women perfume. I am in my early 20's and this scent is very sexy and playful. Gives me Kardashian vibes. Love this one for Fall, its a clean fresh scent with a bit of depth in the base. The EDT is perfect for hot, humid days, whereas this is nice and cozy, but not cloying for colder weather. Had to take off a star for longevity, which is pretty poor, on both the EDP and the EDT.

This is one of my favorite fall/winter perfumes. It has a fresh note because of the limes but is very warm and kind of spicy due to the vanilla, almond, and amber. As for longevity, I used several sprays around 3 PM and the scent was still present the next morning when I went to shower. I think it would last and be even stronger if sprayed on clothes.

smells really good but I'm not sure if it lasts long. I don't smell it on me after like an hour unless I put my nose to my skin but then my cousin made a comment to me saying " Dang girl, you smell good but did you empty the bottle on you?", implying the fragrance is strong lol. so I guess it's subjective if you can smell it on yourself or not. Overall it smells sophisticated and sexy and definitely not old lady-ish to me. For reference I'm 25 so I don't want to smell too mature or too young, this is perfect

This is a very interesting smell, it’s definitely a fall smell to me as it’s really warm and almost cashmere-ish. It’s a deep amber type smell on me at least. It’s not my all time favorite but for what it is, it’s nice. The initial spray is a bit peppery and strong but it settles to something sweet and subtle.

This is my first 5 star review. This perfume smells heavenly. I will definitely be buying a bottle! At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it. It is very strong and musky when you first spray it and it has some type of woodsy smell. It smelt very manly and like a man could pull it off. It begins to smell a little like a flowery (floral) scent, then a very sweet smell (like a dessert or sweets). I wasn't too fond of how sweet it smelt, but then it settled nicely into a very soft, very sexy feminine scent. My husband asked what I was wearing and then said, "Oh yeah, I like that one!" I couldn't smell it any longer, but he could. I sprayed it at 10:30 am and it lasted until about 4 or 5 pm. I thought stayed close to your skin, but when I refreshed it, I noticed that 2 hrs. later, I could smell it on my clothes without purposely sniffing for it.

You know that feeling when a perfume clicks with your chemistry, sense of self, and image that you're trying to project? The "ooh this might be it" feeling? Burberry Brit did that for me. Also, they nailed the description. A complex balance of opposites, and somehow... British. Modern traditional, with scents of irony and dignity, and a note of fun. This is a candied floral, or floral fruity, or warm and sweet gourmand. I can't decide. But I hope you like almonds. First impression was complex, did not know what I'm smelling (ok, I'm a perfume novice), but it went something like this: mmm... fresh and fruity... and something else food, that develops into a soft (but not overpowering) floral...and as the scent develops it melts into me, becomes me. Solid, serious (but not solemn), ironic... yet fun. I could wear this to the office, turn heads, but still be taken seriously. Fun, but not too young; serious, but not too old. So I went into research mode, because this is what I do (Scientist, apparently even when I go home for the day): *top: fresh and fruity (fun) = icy pear and green citrus *top: undefinable food = almond (keeps the pear and citrus in check) *middle: soft (not overpowering floral) = peony, but presents as an anonymous floral *middle: that soft part of the floral = sugared almond (keeps floral in check, adds dignity, irony) *bottom: melting, becoming part of me = vanilla, amber, mahogany, tonka bean

This is one of my favorites! To me, it smells like a mature version of Juicy Coutures "Viva la Juicy". It's warm & sweet but not nauseating. One spray lasts about 2 hrs on my skin. I would definitely buy a full size bottle of it. Pairs well with Victoria Secrets "Pear Glace" body spray.

I remember wearing the EDT version of this when I was in my early 20’s and absolutely loved it. I was excited to try the EDP thinking it would be the same but with better longevity. At first spray I was confused for sure, it was like a blast of lemon and lime, a very intense citrus and woody scent. It wasn’t until the dry down that the warm soft creamy musk I used to know and love came through. It took a few more sprays for me to get on okay terms this this one from start to finish and I definitely am still a little taken aback by that harsh citrus open, but over all its growing on me. This is one of those very rare circumstances where I actually prefer the EDT over the parfum.

I was super excited for this one since I heard great things about it. When I first smelled it just in the spray bottle it smelled different then I expected (wasn’t sure about it) but once I sprayed it and let it soak into my skin it smelled better with time! It doesn’t last all day but much longer than the other scent I have tried (one of the Juicy Couture). I have had multiple people now say they love this one more than that other scent!! It’s a perfect cool weather scent IMO-I’d wear it from Aug-March. This will be one I will keep on my list to get full size later on!

Definitely not my favorite perfume which is surprising from all the other positive reviews. The scent itself is not bad, but I would not consider it Gourmand. It smells heavily of citrus and I do not really get any vanilla notes. It is pretty weak as I notice it wears off in about 4 hours. Also, the scent does not carry or radiate... others in my office could not smell it on me as I walked by or stood by them.

Amazing. This is not over powering at all and smells slightly sweet, with a light woody fragrance. My fiance loved it the moment I sprayed it on me. Very sexy, mature smell but not too mature where people would say you smell like my grandmothers house. Probably my new favorite fragrance. I would be surprised if most people didn't like this scent as it is the perfect blend to create a subtle expensive seeming scent.

A wonderful warm cuddle up perfume. Its a little strong at first but not overly strong and the strength evens out. Very classic and warm. When I smell hints of it on my skin I smile because its so relaxing. The dry down is tonka, vanilla with lime so its not too musk. There's a little freshness as well. I could probably wear this to bed.

I saw a lot of people saying they smelled this years ago and it wasn't how they remembered it. But that simply isn't true for me. I smelled it and it smelled exactly how I remembered it. I absolutely loved it then and I absolutely love it now. It's a beautiful fragrance. It has warm notes of amber, vanilla, and just gives you cozy fall or winter vibes. I really love this perfume smell. I was getting compliments from my siblings. This scent was my white whale. I've smelled it on so many women in passing and found it intoxicating, but never knew exactly where it came from and drove myself crazy trying to find a match. I ordered Burberry Brit because it was favorably reviewed and I've yet to find a Burberry I dislike. Bingo! Thankfully, I enjoyed it on myself as much as on other people, and found that it lasts. Brit has everything I like in a fragrance—sweet, complex, and feminine—without smelling cheap or girlish. I'm up to my eyeballs in perfume samples for the foreseeable future, but Burberry Brit will be my next full bottle purchase.

On my body, I am not getting any of the fragrance notes that are listed in the description. It smells very musky and almost spicy. For me, I am not getting anything sweet or fresh. I am giving it 2 stars because it does last a fair amount of time about 2-3 hours and the description would be correct in saying it is classic. I would see someone older wearing this. Probably the age of 30+.

This scent brings me back to when I was younger. A best friend of mine would wear this and I didn't realize how much I liked it until I got it and wore it. Funny how fragrance works like that. I love the sweet, powdery and spicy notes. It makes me feel feminine and pretty.

Oooh, a new favorite!! Love the lime citrus fresh beginning (wish that scent carried through longer). Then u get sweet almond for the rest of the day. My guy loves this one, and I think it even beats out JHAG Moscow Mule for me with the smoother, classy die down (instead of the spicy ginger-sandalwood after the lime that I get with Moscow Mule). Well done! Will definitely try more scents from Burberry! And a good happy scent for winter, but I'd imagine it makes a great spring/summer scent too.

This scent is pretty but isn't to die for. I got a lot of recommendations for this scent and I do wear it and like it but it's not in my top scent choices. It lasts relatively long though and that's super important to me. There have been a few compliments on this scent on me as well. Over all I'd give it 4 stars.

This is my absolute favorite so far! The lime and pear in the top are so zesty and refreshing. Then the heart is so warm and sweet without burning your nose, and I've finally found a great scent with a good sillage, I love floating in the cloud of this. The base is so nutty and warm and doesn't give an old sour smell. This is perfect like a dessert. I get so many compliments every time I wear this.

I think this is going to be one of those scents that smells delicious to the people that you walk past, but a little strong for the wearer. I like to put my stronger perfumes on the back of my neck and shoulders so I’m not inhaling them constantly throughout the day. Just one or two sprays. Definitely a warm, fall winter vibe. Sophisticated, SWEET, though even a touch masculine.

Pleasantly surprised with how much I love this scent. I think I will get a full bottle. My fiance at first thought it smelt a little old lady ish but as it sat on my skin he said it was a really nice smell once it settled. My coworkers all piped up when I wore it to work the next day and said they thought I was wearing something wonderful but didn't want to mention it to be weird. They LOVED the smell. Big fan, spicy, warm, vanilla-ey, really great for fall/winter.

I took a chance. It’s not for me. The initial note was nice but as the back notes came through they were right about a few things. “Fresh” “Classic” “Feminine”. This one has a fresh clean start but the finish has a really spicy smell to it that I am not partial to. I'm trying to think of something it reminds me of but I honestly can't. This was good. It's not heavy and doesn't have a really strong heft when your first spray it. I've never tried something with tonka bean and it seems to work well with my chemistry. The lime doesn't give this any citrus like you would expect and is more a forgotten note. It's not quite as warm as most perfumes with vanilla. It's lasted most of the day and people can smell fragrance from the door. I enjoy this now, but I feel that it may be one of the ones that I would want to change after about a month.

This one is a little bit generic gourmand. It is very sweet and non offensive, so it's great for work. On me, the first and last scent is the same, it didn't change in the least, I didn't notice the pear, lime or almonds in the beginning. It did last all day. This is scent is cloying but not sweet or gourmand, it's very powdery scent, smells cheap to me, very generic, like a body spray from the drug store. I think this might be my new favorite. It's so soft and feminine. It's actually not like perfumes I usually like, which are mostly floral, fresh, bright. This smells more sweet/sensual to me, but I absolutely love it, and I can still smell it at the very end of the day on my clothes. I love this fragrance, it’s very clean, soft floral and you can wear this as an everyday perfume. It’s a little strong at first but quickly becomes softer. If your the type of gal that likes the fragrance of “Cinema” or “Black Opium”, your surely going to love this one. I hope this gives you a better idea to the kind of scent family it belongs to. When I put on a spritz of this perfume, the word that comes to mind is pepper; it has a sharp, clean spiciness to it that I really like. I don't smell any of the notes in the description, but for the life of me, I couldn't compare this smell to anything else. I can tell you what it's not: it's not sweet or girly; it's not powdery; to me it doesn't even smell flowery, except for maybe a bit like real lavender. I do love it though. I can see this scent being divisive, with some loving it while others hate it. I find it sexy and clean and unique. That being said, this is a popular scent that's carried in a lot of places. If you're on the fence about ordering a 30-day supply, try to find a place with a tester, like a department store, Ulta, or Sephora.

The Burberry scents smell so good - on other people. This is one of those scents that I ask people what they have on. For some reason, it doesn't mix with my body chemistry. I will keep this one for my Christmas stash. I get the double scents monthly and use the scents I don't keep as stocking stuffers; my nieces love it.

Absolutely in love with this fragrance! I intend on buying a full size bottle in a couple weeks. Everything blends together so wonderfully, but you can still smell each scent on its own too (strangely enough). So fresh with the almond and pear, and the vanilla makes it yummy sweet! The lime also gives a little kick to it. To top it all off, it lasts for a SUPER long time on my body, especially when I spray it on my clothes.

Burberry Brit has been my “go-to” scent this fall and winter season! I just can’t get enough of it! I love to pear and lime opening – it doesn’t last very long on me, but it is wonderful none the less. The dry down is warm with the almond, vanilla and tonka bean. I have tried both the EdP and EdT versions, and the EdP is my fav. It lasts longer on me than the EdT, and it has just a tiny bit more spice and warmth than the EdT. Yummy!! Definately one of my top 5 fragrances that I own!

I absolutely love this fragrance. I alternate between this perfume and Play for her by Givenchy. Burberry Brit is described as having notes of italian lime, icy pear, green almond, white peony, sugared almonds, amber, mahogany, vanilla, and tonka bean. After spraying the perfume, I notice a green, lush smell followed by a sweet, musky, vanilla smell. I notice that the lime truly is the standout scent in this fragrance. The scent is sweet and sophisticated. However, it is not sickly-sweet and would suit a wide age range. In other words, this is not just a scent for teenagers. This perfume lasts all day, so there is no need to reapply. A little goes a long way! I also find that this fragrance can be worn at all times of the year. This perfume is very gentle, as it does not give me a headache like most other scents do. I receive many compliments each time I wear Burberry Brit. I am also very fond of the packaging. The bottle is printed with the classic Burberry tartan pattern. It looks very classy and would look nice on a makeup table or vanity. The bottle does not make a mess, and the cap stays on so that there are no leaks or accidental sprays. I also find that it is easy to dispense this perfume into smaller containers such as the Travolo so that it can be carried anywhere. Overall, this is one of my favorite fragrances. I will repurchase this perfume when I run out.

I'm a moody but if I were to choose an affordable fragrance as a signature it would be this one and I don't care that many other women wear it too. There's probably a good reason for that. I tested it at Gatwick but sadly my fragrance budget had already been spent on CK Euphoria because I would really have preferred this one. My body chemistry and I really like this one and it's not a given that just because my body chemistry likes it, that I'll like it too. This is definitely the next fragrance I'm getting. Now I just need to finish off three other bottles first.

Okay, so Brit is fine, but it's one of many in my collection, and not my favorite. I find it kind of ordinary, if I'm honest. However, when I wear it, men and women compliment me like crazy and ask me what I'm wearing and say it smells "wonderful." Even though it's not my favorite, I am a dyed-in-the-wool compliment whore so I wear it quite often (especially in the office), leaving my more interesting and sophisticated perfumes to sulk in their own juice. So in spite of my own "meh-ness" about it, I will always have a bottle of Brit EDP in the house. It's a staple, like bread or milk. If I'm going to a meeting or anywhere I'll be around a lot of people, I wear Brit. It's a people pleaser, what can I say? Brit Gold is more interesting, but, when playing to a crowd, Brit always gets the desired response. I just wish I loved it.

Hi again Sylvie, how is Germany, hope you have some nice weather there! im glad someone agrees with me on Brit edp-edt difference as i was beginning to think i was imagining it, i too live ambery frags but because i have so many of them i prefer brit in edt as it is different than others that i have, i luv the caramel smell of it, seeing if you are Germany you might be able to help me find a frag which i cannot locate anywhere, my husband bought it back from overseas for me a few years ago and cannot remember where he bought it (thats men for you!) the frag was called Christina and it was in a small glass carved bottle with a silver cap, there was no brand name on it only it said Dadi on the back (i think) because it has worn off over the years and i cant read it well (didnt take a lot of notice of it before it wore off) and it was made in West Germany (written on bottom of bottle) it was an aldehydic type flowery frag i think it might have had lily in it (not sure) have you heard of this frag? if so do you know if its still available and from where, id luv to be able to get it again it holds a lot of memories for me but sadly i cannot find it anywhere and no ones heard of it, hope you can help! thanks and bye for now, hope to hear from you soon, greekgirl Helen.

Hi Greekgirl, you have a good nose! Yes, yes, I agree: EDT and EDP smell different! I like both versions, but I prefer the EDP, because I adore voluptuous, warm and ambery dry-downs. Brit EDP has more complexity and depth (womanly). BRIT EDT smells more fresh, uncomplicated and happy...(girly). I'm very skeptical when it comes to the "modern-synthetic-year 2000 fragrances", but all BRITs smell divine. Beautiful, well balanced perfumes. Hope to read you soon. I got this a few years back in the EDT form, which was the only one I could find at the time. I had to return it because the EDT does not last on me. This smells strongly of vanilla and a little almond to me. A soft amber quality with a bit of sweetness that reminds of caramel or pralines. It smells a bit thick at first but lightens up very quickly. It is very warm and versatile for everyday wear. The bottle is cute, but the lasting power is not so great. I personally hate touching up my fragrance throughout the day, but I like Brit enough to make that compromise, and an extra spritz won't be too overwhelming because it lightens up so quickly.

I really like Brit - it's bright, lively, and tangy, but I felt that the drydown was missing those earthy incense notes that I love so much. So, out of curiosity, I wondered what it might smell like mixed with Casmir. Voila! On my skin, it blended into this fantastic warm and spicy fragrance. The bright notes in Brit livened up the Casmir, and the incense notes in Casmir gave the Brit the depth I was looking for. I got so many compliments throughout the evening. Another mix that I've had success with is Opium and Kenzo Jungle L'elephant. I know perfume purists are probably cringing, but hey, it's fun to experiment a little! Try for yourself... :-)

Just tried this today and loved it immediately. The top notes are definitely citrusy-lively, but it has a deep, rich base that makes it sophisticated and elegant. Modern and unique. I tried the Red version, too, but it was too sweet for my taste, and not as sophisticated (I turn 40 this year and don't want to smell 20 anymore), but the Red version would be lovely on younger women. Brit is going to become a definite staple in my perfume wardrobe!

I can't stop smelling myself! I smelled this on a friend and thought it was pleasant. I usually like much more mysterious scents that you can't quite put your finger on. But the vanilla appealed to me so I decided to try it. After about two minutes I was like (sniff )this smells good! 2 minutes later(sniff sniff).. this smells really good! 2 Minutes later...really really good!And so on. Now it's been about 6 hours and 1 bottle later. I'm totally in love with this scent. It's just a really sweet, warm and comforting scent that I really find endearing. I wear Brit once in a while... of course I adore it... the almond is incredible and really since Gloria to me nothing else came even close until Brit... but on me I can hardly smell Brit after a little bit and yet compliments file-in hours and hours later still... Others can smell it on me even if I can't and just to add another thing - funny to me - every fragrance that I seem not to notice or be able to smell on me even 10 minutes after applying - I get the most wonderful compliments on hours later... so perhaps those are the ones that work the best for us...

I really like Burberry Brit, it reminds me of sweet candy with all that vanilla. A little green too with Green lemon, frosted pear and green almond but this is one of my favorites. This is a one dimensional perfume and very sweet. If you love that sweet vanilla scent then, no problem. It stays close to the body and won't run any one off, but I prefer a more romantic scent. Vanilla just isn't romantic in my opinion.

I sniffed this at Macy's awhile back, and all I could detect was a spicy, cinnamon-like aroma. I thought it would be way too overpowering for me, so i didn't put any on my skin. But i guess it deserves a second chance. After all, fragrance is supposed to meld with one's chemistry before making the decision if it is right for you or not. Next time, I will see what the drydown is like on me, instead of a paper card.

I tried Burberry Brit a few times and for some reason every time I do I smell a totally different thing! Last few times however, I've been able to nail it down to a very, very sweet candy-like aroma in this scent! It was like the ice-cream shop and candy store all in one. Very yummy, very creamy and sugary sweet; but not like burnt sugar--there are a few fragrances out there that smell more intense of burnt sugar & cotton candy... but Burberry Brit has a slightly mellower, more like a cake smell to it... There is also a very distinct almond smell there as well which is nice. Personally this is nowhere close to being a favorite of mine, but I can see a lot of ladies liking this fragrance. Burberry Brit Red is far more enticing as far as I'm concerned, I do like it a lot better.

I purchased the 3.4 EDT gift set with the lotion and shower gel. The bath products are awesome! I use the lotion all day long to refresh my scent. The EDT seems to last just fine on me, in fact... it's almost too strong. I have to spray then walk through this scent or else it's too much. Guess that is chemistry for ya.... but as lovely as I think this scent is, there is also a downside. I would have to agree with JT. Very one dimensional dry down. The top notes with the almond/pear/almost lime-ish scent are AMAZING!! But after a while, it just becomes like a vanilla/almond/musk... which is nice, but I really wish that pear would stick around. Regardless, I still love this scent AND the bath products.

I bought this in october and havn't ever regretted it. I have received so many compliments on it and have recommended it to so many people. It smells so good, it lasts all day and if you get the gift set with the body wash and lotion...WOW! I will never have need for another frangrance again...providing Burberry doesn't ever stop making this! I am in LOVE! when i first sprayed this, i was IN LOVE with the scent...the almond/pear combination was absolutely delectable. i was grinning because my nose was in heaven. but the base of the fragrance smells exactly like allure by chanel to me. this isn't a bad thing... i love allure, and i have that bottle as well. i just didn't think it was worth it to spend another sixty dollars on a fragrance i already have. if the pear/almond notes would hang around, i would have kept my burberry brit bottle. but they didn't, so i swapped it out for lolita lempicka, which is SCRUMPTIOUS. just the same, i'm giving this perfume an excellent rating because i would have kept the bottle if i didn't own chanel's allure first. very pretty, classically feminine scent that i think would appeal to most everyone's noses.

I love a fruity, citrusy scent that is NOT orangy, grapefruity, pinesol scent. This is it for me. The dry down (on me) is wonderful. Don't be scared if at first it is sour. It was on me. And I thought oh well, it sounded so good but is so sour! 1 hour later it is heavenly. In a Barbados sort of way. I can put up with the 10 min. of sour for what is in store. I give this an excellent because it smells so good and is totally original.

I just tested Brit after reading the comments on it. It mid-note smells lot like Sensations by Jil Sander, that is cheaper than Brit and one spray lasts ALL day long. I like Sensation better and if you like more creamy something, Sensation may be worth checking.

For me, Burberry Brit is just the right balance of fruity, floral, and sweet. I like sweet fragrances, and the lime and pear give just a hint of freshness without being too fruity. This perfume is amazing! From the moment you apply it. It has so many different scents encased in the trendy plaid bottle it's difficult to tell exactly what they are. Brit is so different than anything else I have ever worn and it literally lasts all day. Very rare for a colonge.

Brit gets very good reviews on this site. I am not sure if it is for me. I noticed the lime notes and then the smoother notes, guess that is the almond. The staying power is good, because I sprayed it on my sleeve and can still smell it there after several days! Just cant say that I am interested enough to buy this one. I do however use Burberry London. London is delicious, but does not last long on me. I end up re-spraying more than once in the day.

Personally, I don't see what all the hype is about. This is pretty popular and I'm surprised. I am not saying that it smells bad, it just isn't that amazing. I am a lover of modern perfumes (Magnetism, Emporio Armani, Lolita Lempicka, Hypnotic Poison) to name a few in the same category, and I'm sorry, but Brit just doesn't seem to have the complexity that the others have. Brit seems to be good only at the beginning when you could still smell the fruity top notes along with the almond smells, but then it just dries down to a bland blah one dimensional almond type smell. Not bad, just blah, like it makes you think "that's it? Where are all the other notes that should be here accenting the almond!"

I just tried Brit. At first, on the paper it smelled similar to Dune from Christian Dior. When I tried it on my skin, I could still detect something similar to Dune (which I really like). Find it a nice composition. Gives a fresh effect and is also smooth. Not too sharp. Overall it has freshness with smoothness and warmth and nice amount of sweetness. Very impressive. I do however prefer Burberry London. That is for me fantastic!! Burberry London is yummy and addictive.

Sylvie, if you enter "winner 2004 Fifi Awards" in your search engine you will see the winners. Narciso Rodriguez won in the women's Nouveau Niche catagory and Burberry Brit won in the Lux catagory...all for best fragrance. It also states the winner for best packaging. Interestingly, my 20 year old daughter wears Brit and I wear Narciso. When my daughter wears Brit she smells lovely! Brit is very fresh and modern but also has a powdery softness.

I guess I am just not a Burburrys fan... I have smelled most of their perfumes and they are just ok. Not bad, but not great either. Same goes for Burburry Brit. I was hoping to like it since I would not mind having more sweet scents for the winter, but this one just didn't do much for me. I love Escada Magnetism for a sweeter scent. It's not too sweet on me, just perfect. Having a hard time finding any more sweet ones that I like enough though.

I took a chance on this based on the positive comments. I like this one. It smells similar to Light Blue by D & G to me. A fresh citrus scent but on a creamy vanilla base instead of powdery musk base. Very subtle and delicate, not overwhelming or heavy. My boyfriend likes it, and he's very particular. Got the edt and it's not very long lasting though. Still a nice scent.

This is delicious! You really smell the almond, nutty smell in it. Vanilla note is not overwhelming like most fragrances that have vanilla in them. This is a fabulous blend of notes. It has pear in it, but this is not a citrus smelling fragrance. It's warm on me, without being spicy. It reminds me of hazelnut...yummy!
