It’s a subtle smell doesn’t illuminate like other perfumes but it is a decent smell gives summer vibes and citrusy has a under tone of cherry

This is 1 of my favorite fragrances and I love love the sample I got, I can smell it on myself when some very expensive perfumes I keep adding more because I can't smell it on myself or it fades REALLY QUICKLY. I have a subscription to another, I won't name, but u can't pick your fragrances, and it fades sooo quickly and the samples I have received r very expensive perfumes. Also luv that u have so many fragrances 2 choose from. Only wish u also had Poison by Christian Dior. But I'm extremely happy anyway and will be a customer for many years to come Thanks, Rose Manns

Okay this perfume I guess changed or was revamped over the years. 1991 thru 93 Calvin Klein was big in department stores. This was a strong sent. This what was sent is lighter. Smells good but different. When younger it smelled different so it may be me. I like it

I've worn this fragrance for so many years its my "signature" scent. This is the only one I wear.

But I love it! I'm not sure if it's the fact that it reminds me of when I was really young and I had great times with it on or it's just the scent.

I have tried several other expensive colognes, but the only one I get compliments on is Eternity. So it's eternity forever.

My ex-boyfriend likes Eternity for men. He screwed up once and accidentally bought Eternity for women. He gave the perfume to me. I got rid of the boyfriend...kept the Eternity. I've been using if for years. I love the fresh scent.

This one works for me if applied lightly. The lasting power is awesome and it is one of my favorite beach scents. I like this one in the summer. Been wearing for over 10 years!

I used to love this years ago so i tried again. I found it way too sweet and it smells exactly the same on me by everyone who wears it. You can smell a women a mile away with it in. Seems to not work with individual chemistry at all. You could spray this on your dog and it would still smell the same. I like scents with a little more depth and personal character.

I have smelled this scent on women passing by, and perfume counters, and was basically chasing it for a whole year before i finally ran a girl down that had passed me in the mall, and asked her what she was wearing. I was almost felt let down, I was expecting some rare expensive new perfume, and this scent was right at my finger tips the whole time!! Oh my, such mixed reviews of my favorite scent. Whenever I wear this, it never fails that someone will comment on my fragrance. I agree if you apply with a heavy hand it can induce a headache, but if you apply lightly, you will be pleasantly surprised. To each his own, I guess. Definitely worth a try.

When this first came out, I tried the scent strip in the magazine and loved it. Then I sprayed it on in the department store, couldn't get home, and had to live with it all day long. It really reeked on me, especially once the top note evaporated.

I always detect a nail polish remover scent in this fragrance - I just can't get over that fragance not it bugs me.

Eternity smells very strong and too powerfull on me for the first 15 or so minutes. Then it blends with my body/scent and becomes very powdery and musky. It is one of the nicest smells I have ever had the pleasure to smell. I love it and get compliments about it.

I had a girlfriend who used to bathe herself in Eternity. She thought it smelled wonderful, but on her, it really didn't smell good..... so i never entertained the thought of wearing it myself. Then one year we stopped being friends and I had already bought her a bottle of Eternity for Christmas. I decided to open the bottle that I bought for her and sprayed some on myself just for ha ha's. I have been wearing it now for well over a year, almost every day (once in a while I'll switch to something else for a day for variety). I wear it mostly every day because it's fresh, light, and powdery. It has never given me a headache, and I am the migraine queen. I also have allergies, and am prone to nausea. I have never had a problem with Eternity. I love it. I do not find it to be too strong. In fact, right now I am looking to see if I can find a bottle small enough for me to carry in my purse to refresh during the work day. My best friend at work would DEFINITELY tell me if it was too strong, she tells it like it is and doesn't hold back. I find that most of today's modern scents are all made for the Britney Spears kiddie group. They all smell way too sweet like cotton candy or citrusy like grapefruit. To me, THAT'S what gets old real quick. A classic is a classic for a reason. And being around people who are all wearing the "new trend", all smelling the same, and not smelling very good to boot is what's yuck.

I love this fragrance. It is my summertime staple. If used properly, it lasts all day and is not overpowering. I layer the body lotion and then a few (just a few) sprays. My fave for summer. BTW, not many people are wearing it now!

Sometimes I will smell someone wearing Eternity and it smells delicious. I think people got tired of it because it was overdone and too often oversprayed. Eternity is a beautiful fragrance, though, and it works well with my chemistry. It deserves some love. :-)

Don't know what it is about this one, I just can't tolerate it. Very sweet and very spicy. Just seems too strong on me. I think I'd like it if it was not quite so strong.

A very romantic floral. To wear for true love-it does not seem to work on my own body chemistry, but it is a wonderful scent.

Someone wearing this can just walk by and I will start feeling a tighness in my chest. I can not be around it without holding my breath. Seems like most people think this fragrance should be applied liberally, too.

This fragrance & Knowing by EL have the same kind of scent, it isn't horrible, but the notes in it are pungent, (if that is the right word) and doesn't sit well with me, but that doesn't mean others wouldn't like it.

Both of these are my favorites. Calvin Klein meets my tastes. Modern, romantic and versatile. These 2 compliment my life perfectly.

Purchased this scent in the early 90's because someone I knew had it on. It smelled so good on her. Of course I inquired about it and eventually got it! Well to tell you the truth because of body chemistry everything we put on may not smell good on us at times. Well it didn't go good with my chemistry. I got rid of it some years ago. But ran across the bodycream at a discount store! Would you believe I gave it another try this time. The cream is great. Maybe the perfume was not suitable to my chemistry!

I used to wear this and loved it, but kept my bottle on the vanity where it was often in the sun. Sunlight turns the perfume an orangey color and makes it smell horrible! Definitely store it in a cool place out of direct sunlight.

I have to get away from people when they are wearing this cologne. It has a strong, overpowering, lingering unpleasant acrid smell that is more of a stink than a scent to me. There are only 2 colognes that I strongly dislike. This is one of them.

When this very, very first came out, I bought it, and was one of the first to wear it. I kept wearing it for awhile, even after every third female also seemed to have it on. What finally turned me off was when two women I worked with, one fifteen years older and one fifteen years younger, and both smokers, showered themselves with it incessantly. It completely turned me off, and I havn't been able to wear it since.

Although I haven't worn Eternity for a while now, I still love it and whenever I smell it on someone, I think to myself that it smells simply wonderful! On of the most unique white florals out there..

I have been getting compliments on this perfume for years. Seems people always have something nice to say about how good I smell, especially waiting in line. A little boy commented once saying, "Mommy, that lady smells so good". He was so cute.

I'm trying this out again, I took the first bottle back cause I never used it. This seems nice and ok for casual times. Green, with white florals, and some fresh and cleaness. It's different and unique. CK made bold moves in perfume and ads long before anyone. Without eternity, hmm I don't know how perfume would have evolved. It branched out with new versions like purple orchid and moment. Must be selling alot to have so many forms. The original drives my bf up the wall crazy, before we ever met. So to him it's sex appeal in a bottle. Good enough to try and cheaper than it used to be.

when it first launched into market, i wanted to have it so badly. years later, when i finally bought a giftset with lotion, i wore it to school. for some reason, it wasn't the same at all. i still have a left over that i gave to my mom and whenever i sniff it to not forget the smell, all i can say is 'it still smells bad.'

I don't recall exactly what it smells like, but I remember that everytime I go to smell it, I think it stinks (as do the majority of Calvin Klein in my opinion). Not as bad a Angel by Theirry Mugler.... it's almost impossible to get any worse than that!

This is one of my favourite perfumes. Especially in Winter times.

I'm a collector of the nostalgic perfumes with a long tradition (the old Guerlain fragrances, Piguet, Coty, Dana, Molinard, Grès etc.). I know countless perfumes and I'm very sceptical with brandnew fragrances. ETERNITY + OBSESSION by Calvin Klein are both excellent, unique and very feminine fragrances and meanwhile young classics! The secret of all strong and sharp perfumes: Don't use too much, PLEASE!!! Use your perfumes sparingly and you will smell seductive, inviting and soft. Eternity is a very sensual and remarkable scent. Enjoy!

Like a lot of people here, I find this very unpleasant. It seems it's one of those perfumes that you either love or hate; no in-between. To me, the scent is very penetrating and almost acrid, and I cannot stay alongside the wearer. I perceive "Knowing" (Estee Lauder) to be similar. Sorry to offend those who love it; I suppose our sense of smell must be very different.

A travelling companion introduced me to this one some years ago whilst on holidays in Singapore. Back home, I wore it to work and the girls were dying to get it, it wasn't available for another year. It had a curious effect of leaving a scent trail where I had been! It's a lovely floral and I wore it for years but now so many women are wearing it, and the price increased with its popularity, so I'm leaving it alone for a while. It's nice for everyday wear but not distinctive enough for evening perhaps. Soft floral with white flowers for the mid 20s to 40s age bracket.

I agree with those of you who've expressed that this one has just been overdone--it's time for something new. When this scent first came out, I thought it was a very unique, very addicting scent. . . then I smelled it on just about every female every day. It is so distinctive, and every time I smell it I am instantly catapulted back to freshman year in high school--probably the last place I'd want to be. What once intrigued me now makes me recoil. Too bad. Maybe if this one becomes less mainstream it will once again be a refreshing and alluring scent. One can only hope.

Frankly, Eternity & Escape are greatly outpaced by their Pour Homme versions. The feminine version is too sweet, drydown is too powdery. Not aweful, but not great either

I just bought Eternity Purple Orchid and I love it! I am not a fan of the regular Eternity, that one is too sweet. You have to give Purple Orchid a try, very light and nice! I am going to try Rose Blush. These are limited to find.

This is the only predominantly floral that I really like. It is very feminine and has a special appeal to it. Has just the right amount of a woodsy note in it that makes it very very nice. I think it is a sophisticated smell too.

Maybe the negative comments are from people whose pheremones are off just a tad or something...it does go with their body chemistry!!!

teenagers should by law have to obtain a permit to wear perfume. my sister in law and her cousin could fog a house with the crap they wear. eternity is not so bad, (not so good either, i wouldnt voluntarily put it on unless someone put a gun to my head or i was splattered with sewage) but they ruined it for me altogether. it seems to be a problem with anyone under age 18. frequent and thorough bathing will fend off any odors they seem desperate to cover up.

Calvin Klein was coked out when he came out with this one. NO ONE in their right state of mind would have put it on the market. It is offensive smelling and even worse, it smells so darned artificial! I can't believe Yoga Queen Christy Turlington allows herself to be the Eternity Model. Repulsive.

I have received nothing but compliments when wearing this perfume. I use the lotion and just a tiny bit of perfume. It lasts longer and smells much lighter that way.

A co-worker used to bathe in Eternity....I thought it smelled like the exterminator had been in. P.U.

The strange thing with this fragrance is that I don't think its actual scent is bad but it has a terrible effect on me. It makes me have trouble breathing, feel itchy, and makes my heart race, and I feel nervous. I'm glad my sister stopped wearing this one!

I think this perfume is just simply good. It isn't too busy.

There is something in Eternity that causes the back of my throat to burn and my eyes to water.I could see using this stuff as paint thinner, I'm sure it could power a vehicule if you're out of gas,I know it can get rid of any insect/vermin/rodent problem.So why not simply stash it under the sink,and indulge in the many fabulous perfumes that are out there?

A woman I used to work with bathed in this, and it is way too strong! I used to leave work every day with a headache! It may be okay if you use just a very small dab, and I mean small!

I don't like eternity but I felt in love with "eternity rose" when I tried it on. I bought two bottles! It should not be a limited edition.

The reason for our "no fragrance" policy at work stems from ONE PERSON WEARING TOO MUCH ETERNITY perfume and she refused to wear less. I can't wear fragrance now at work just because one selfish person sprayed her entire bottle of Eternity on her every day. We're all hoping that she finds another job or leaves SOON!

Have read everyones notes. As my momma said "to each their own, and if you don't like it you don't have to ware it." It's like the smoking issue. whos right whos wrong. I only ware Eternity and Privilge have for years. It depends how strong you put it on. I get many comps. on both, NO ONE has ever told me either does not smell pleasent. Now at work we are NOT allowed to ware a fragrance due to A FEW people not liking someones fragrance. You ware it and you get written up nezt time 3 day off without pay nezt time you are fired. So remember that when you complain you may be getting someone fired and I know that you prob. need your job as much as they do. Also if you don't like the product don't buy it.

I don't like Eternity, but Eternity Rose Blush (in a red bottle - limited edition 2002.) is nice and sexy. Not too loud, a bit sweet fruity-floral (notes of apricot, pear, rose, freesia) with ambery-musky-woody undernotes. In my opinion this limited edition is far better than original Eternity.

This perfume triggers the worst perfume allergic reations I have ever experienced. I can hardly be in the same room with someone who is wearing. My eyes and throat burn and my nose runs. Besides it smells awful. When I was a child we used to have to use Raid insect killer for wasps and Eternity smells like the Raid of my childhood. It is an overpowering cheap smelling scent.

Eternity is unique, sensual, fabulous, feminine and really long lasting fragrance. This scent make me light, happy and very elegant woman. Just excellent! I don't like too sweet, tantalizing perfumes like Allure,Dolce Vita,Envy, but Eternity is good - seductive, not sweet.

I agree, I do think people's skin may vary, but their tastes even more. Perfume is very personal: when I am pregnant/ winter/summer/ different times of the day, I experience them in a different way. Today I've tried Safari and I think it is beautiful, last year I thought it stank(but then, I was pregnant). Some perfumes I don't like on myself, but on other people I like them, the same as with clothes.If violet for example doesn't suit me it doesn't mean it isn't nice on someone else. As for this Eternity, i agree the Klein fragrances are loud and cheap-smelling

At least on my skin that's what it smells like - too sweet, cheap, and loud. In general: I don't think that it is only that perfumes smell differently on different skins, what people like and dislike varies just as much.

Eternity has been my favorite perfume for the past 12 Years. I started wearing Eternity in High School and the scent is still the same as the first time I used it. There is no other perfume on today's market that is even close to the scent of Eternity. Even the "fake" scents of Eternity doesn't even come close. Calvin Klein out done himself with Eternity...Such a Wonderful Scent...

I've never met anyone who wears Eternity to be able to spray a small amount. My hub and I have stopped going to our used-to-be fave restaurant cause one waitress wore Eternity so HEAVY that even our food tasted like Eternity. When we complained about her loud fragrance, she argued with us that she hardly wore any fragrance. So we stopped patronizing that restaurant. Manager didn't seem to care.

I love eternity, I have been wearing it for years. I am excited about the new rose bush eternity! I can't wait to get it!

Been using Eternity for 10 years...have had nothing but complements! I agree, it smells nice on some and not so nice on others. I'm just happy it smells nice on me.

Wow, Eternity seems to be another one of those love it or hate it scents. I don't feel either way about it but I'd definitely tend more toward the former. I find this to be a very pretty, ultra-feminine scent that smells very good on me. Its ingredients include white lily, white florals, marigold, mandarin, amber and sandalwood. It does seem to fade on me pretty quickly though, but I do enjoy it while it lasts.

Having seen Aimee's various postings plastered all over this site, her Eternity assessment isn't surprising, but it's no less annoying than the rest of her wanna-be expert assessments. For those who are interested in what this forum is supposed to be about and who want information so a decision can actually be made: Eternity can be a very pleasant fragrance, but test it first. It has white flowers in the heart and top notes; mandarin in the heart, and some amber and sandalwood on the bottom. It comes off some people's chemistry as a lovely floral, and from other people's chemistry it smells rather acrid and citrusy. Just test it and let your chemistry (and your nose) be the judge.

It took an eternity to get this stench off of me.

I love the smell of eternity on others and finally bought some for myself. I liked it when I first put it on but it didn't seem to last on me. I guess it does not go with my body chemistry. On some ladies it smells citrusy and on some it smells like wonderful roses. I wish it was that nice on me!

Eternity has been my scent for 14 years or so and I get a lot of compliments about it. I enjoy the fragrance and people have said it smells nice on me. Funny, there are fragrances that others like, but I do not - and I don't think smell good on me. An example is Estee Lauder Beautiful - which a lot of people like. My advice - TRY this one, Eternity might be for you!

I do like the way this smells-from very far away on other people.But if I am around it too long I get headachy-I have heard men say it is too strong.It has too much sweetness and citrus mixed up with white linen from estee lauder scent to it.Just isnt a scent I like to wear or smell for very long.

This message proves that fragrances smell differently on different people. I have been wearing Eternity for at least 6 years, and am always receiveing compliments about how I smell. I love how light and fresh it smells on me. And it still smells good at the end of the day. I can't wear Escape, however, because the smell on me makes me nauseous. Different noses for different folkes....

I think this perfume is horrible! It gives me a major headache. Someone gave it to me because they didn't like it, and I ended up passing it on to someone else too for the same reason.
