It is an excellent scent that you notice. It never gets old.

I think this scent was reformulated at some point because I owned it about 15-20 years ago and it used to be much different. The lasting power and projection is very weak. I need a lot of sprays just to get Ok performance. Previously, it used to be overpowered. 2 sprays all day champ kinda cologne. The scent is also different. Its very synthetic and clean citrus. It does smell good, but I think it used to smell better and have more depth.

This seems too musky for me. I don't usually care for the regular cologne smell and this one seems to hit too close to that for me. It does smell quite stronger when testing than it actually does when you put it on. The smell kind of softens slightly and is a little more pleasant but overall it just gets an OK from me. I'll keep trying it once in a while to so if it grows on me but so far it hasn't.

Smelled testers at a couple stores of this and thought it wasnt my type of scent but once I recieved it in the mail and tried it I changed my tune. Smells really nice and drives my wife wild even though its not my typical scent type. Could last a little longer though.

Carolina Herrera is a great scent.....I gave it a rating of only 4 stars, due to the fact that it's lasting smell was only about 3 to 4 hours long.

It smells pretty good, but the first thing my fiance said when she smelled it was that it smells like a typical summer men's cologne. I kind of have to agree with her, the notes in this are found in a lot of cheaper colognes. With that said I still enjoy the scent of it, I do however feel it has a pretty short last.

I work 12 hour days and I agree with one of the guys who said it doesn't last all day , but most colognes that do are usually very strong at the beginning . My everyday scent i call it the p-dropper. Is mellow and long lasting. Sexy, manly and sweet. Is my second favorite scent.

Very light almost sweet (springy season scent), and flowery with an underlying hint of ginger/spice. The lavender seems to be a heavy player and pushes this scent more to the feminine end of the spectrum for me.

This smell brings such sentimental value to me, my husband's best friend who died unexpectedly four years ago used to wear this all the time. I loved his big bear hugs as we said goodbye and I would hang on a little longer just to smell him!!! Well, hubby loved this scent too, so I figured I would add it to the subscription. I don't know the gentleman's name who had in his review that this cologne was some how "woody". This is very incorrect, seeing as the fragrance has only one wood note (sandalwood), and you'd never know unless you researched it. This fragrance is very fresh, and modern. Ironically, it is also aquatic (the main reason why it is so fresh), yet it kicks you quite a few green notes (carried by the insence which is responsible for the "modern twist"). Also, the citrus leaves and the grapefruit blend very well. If you're looking for something fresh (both in the sense of new, and smelling wonderful) without conforming to the trend of Acqua Di Gio, or the surplus of its variants, I highly recommend this product. Two thumbs up.

212 is one of the best woody colognes available. I use my mini bottle pretty regularly. I may just purchase a full size once the mini is gone.

This stuff smells fantastic, it is truly a wonderful thing to wear, ladies love it, & everyone compliments it, it has a vibrant light smell that last all day, from playa to pimp, this is what you will need to get the job done, play on.

for those of you who are yearning for one of the older scents in place of this, then this was definitely not going to be your type of scent. But, for the rest, it's a good scent with a good dry down. It does come off a little floral (it might be the aqua musk note), but, it's still masculine.

So let down by this stuff. I cannot even explain. It is average at best. It smells like pepper and lemon water. Just very sad on this one. Carolina for men - the original - has really grown on me, it is potent. This stuff is trendy alright, and very very average. Reminds me of Higher by Dior - smells average and does not last. Easily the most let down I have been on a scent in a long long time. If u have read my posts, u know i love 1980's scents - scents that have power when they come out of the bottle. This juice's drydown is not bad, but there is just no power behind it. Her first scent for men was so much better. I just wish that these new more "modern" scents had lasting power. I wish they jump out of the bottle like Santos, Joop, Third Man, Antaeus, Jacomo, Boss number 1 - and even some of the 90's scents - like Ungaro III. If u are going to buy a Herrera buy the original, and please - perfume makers around the world - get rid of the Acquas, and the Tommy Hilfiger scents, this new modern trend that all scents smell alike and have no power, no kick. The best "modern" scent is without question - L'narchiste by Caron, read my review for that. So glad PE has it now. Now that stuff has power. So frustrating to see a scent with potential, fall by the wayside because it simply has nothing behind it. I expected much more than this. However, it does get good reviews, so opinions are plenty. Just smells way to common for me, and just so normal.

Crisp and refreshing. Like a conceited breeze. It actually cools me down dropping my temperature back to normal. Despite its finer qualities as it looks down condescending to its brother smells, it has one mayor flaw. It screams attention. And though it carries its self beautifully with an aura of arrogance and superiority it has low self esteem. Induce some clinical help, until then, not quite.

212 Men has so far caught so much attention. It's very sexy, mysterious and sensual. It's long lasting & offers splendid sillage. Just 1 full spritz it lasts more than 5-6 hours. It has earned me lots of compliments and is very good if you have a hot date! Wear it and you'll be sniffed.

Even though you may spray only a drop it comes off as too heavy on a warm day so I assume it's not a good spring/summer fragrance. Besides it smells of some kind of medicated oil unless you're a woman kissing on your man's skin and smelling the remnants of the drydown which is excellent. Another good thing is you can't smell alcohol throughout its lifespan.

I normally use Eternity and D&G. A friend of mine recommended me to buy 212.Will it be a good buy and is it spicy cologne?. Guys please advise.

I have been to churches and Versace's L'homme reminds me of them. I have been to mosques and 212 Men reminds me of them. Great! Another unique mystical scent that is bound to be a permanent number in the temple of your array of heavenly perfumes.

One of the few fragrances that have excellent top notes. The ginger and grapefruit complement each other and then it dries down to mandarin slowly appearing like a tree growing in fast forward. The base notes are what wqmen find sexually appealing. This fragrance is comparable and in the same category as Muelhens' 4711 and will definitely be another classic except that 212 is an edt whereas the 4711 is merely an eau de cologne with notes even shorter in lifespan. Also, if you like grapefruit go for 212, and if you like lemon, 4711 is it.

Ok, I blind folded my girlfriend and had her sniff several of my fragrances.I didnt want her to be influenced by the pretty bottles.She was really impressed by 212 and also said that it smelled like something for a woman.The next day, I picked my girl up from work at 5. When she got in the car, it hit me.I said,"What do you have on?" She said,"212". I asked her how much did she put on.She said ,"One spray."I asked her when did she put it on.She said,"Before I went to work."I was a bit envious of her chemistry.She sprays one time and it smelled like she just put it on after 8 hours.She thought I was going to be a bit upset, knowing that my fragrances are sacred. I told her to wear my fragrances on occasions so that I can get a different perspective of my fragrances.I realize that we have different chemistries, but it smelled great emanating from her.That night, I went out, and of course I wore 212.

This fragrance ha a fresh top notes, it's really make me feel energic.And the base note is warm.I suggest for everybody not to over use this fragrance because of the strong base note can make yourself feel headache.

the same. 212 & h20.i have a 3.4 oz bottle of h20 and a sampler of 212. same grapefruity, green,clean, fresh scent. thedifference i believe is that h20 is meant to be an extreme version of the original. best green scent out there. if you are thinking about purchasing a fresh green scent please do not get swiss army, k.c.,echo or paul smith. try this and also smalto. p.s. outstanding lasting power.

(sorry, Groucho) Ok, like they say, it's a trendy type of cologne, in fact I would venture to say it achieves total trendiosity and is indeed slated to become a cult classic of sorts, but it's just not my cup of citrus flowered tea. On the other hand 212 H20 really is a unique and captivating scent.

I bought this for my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary and I don't regret it one bit. This scent is beautiful and absolutely enticing. I just couldn't stop smelling him when he put it on.

I like this one alot.The top notes do disappear quickly,but thats fine by me because it goes straight to the heart...the 'green' which I love so much.This isnt one of those sweet or soft greens like others I sampled.This is what I was looking for.Please feel free to recommend anything 'green'.The bottle has a nice modern look and the sprayer really gets you wet.

I haven't had enough time with it to form a solid opinion and rate it. All I'll say right now is that when I first smelled it, I was for some reason instantly reminded of sushi. Take that for what it's worth.

dude....u r probably buyin stuff out of clearing houses...honestly their stuffz are pretty old and after like 2 years of the manufacturing date of a cologne it kinda turns into the 3 min alchohole u were talking about.

among all the perfumes i have used,which is quite a few, this is the one that lasts the longest. the smeLL? tooooo damn goooood! very unique somehow, hardly find anything similar(apart frm 212 men h2o and ICE). And chickz? Belive me ,,,,, the love it!

This is easily one of the best colognes out there. Don't believe all these "it doesn't last very long comments. You could spray this on your clothes one day and it would last easily into the next. I don't even spray it on my clothes either. My friend proved it to me though. Very light, very nice. Girls love it.

i got this a few weeks ago and just as has happened to others, i think i'm addicted to it. it has a really unique smell and lasts very long. i have actually recieved compliments as much as 8 hours after putting it on.

The one I bought is 212 H2O, people say it's a newer version of 212, and they smell similar. 212 H2O has a pretty bottle(a soda bottle). Well well, can't discribe the smell....... Sweat....Musk..... Whatever, it just AWESOME!! Hasn't found anything bad to say. I also bought the 212 H2O for my girlfriend, Like I said, IT'S PERFECT!!! I would have give all the stars there is.

There's a nice floral theme to the fragrance. It's also aquatic and musky. Really refreshing and maybe even slightly feminine. I've received many a compliments on this nonetheless.

this cologne smells alot like deodorant but in a good way. lol. its really smooth and not to strong...the way i like it but would be better if it had a pinch of citrus.

are you leaving your colognes in the sunlight? if you are, thatz wut's causing the alcohol smell. sunlight breaks down the chemicals in cologne...therefore, cologne should be kept out of sunlight. also, if you wanna keep cologne smelling longer, try refrigerating it...

Hey I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong or what, because this happened with my Clinique Happy too.. but after like a month of having this stuff, I took it with me to Paris, and I smell alcohol only for like 3 minutes and then nothing! Anyone know why this has happened with this cologne and Happy also? It sucks, paying $40 for some water

if it doesnt last long, there is no point buying it.

My personal opinion: Pros: Top note fades away far too quickly, and is on the ‘light’ side Cons: Base note is of good strength and lingers for hours, leaving warm scent. Overall: Quite a good scent, and original. If only top note was more potent…

I was hesitant to buy the 212 30Ml at first but now it won my confident with as low as half a dab i small all day .... romanticalllt in fact am called 212 in School

simply, it does not long. The other day I sprayed a whole lot. After like 10 minutes, it vanished away. the smell is averge. So, with those combinations, it deserves horrible. :)
