This smells so good. Masculine and woodsy with a good amount of rich spiciness.

Smells like stale tobacco

Very nice scent.

It starts off woody and spicy, then mellows out to a leather fragrance. It does radiate out quite a bit and fills the nostrils for a while. It definitely gives off older men vibes, but I think that's something I need to start getting used to. My wife really likes the fragrance, which is a plus as well.

Very old school masculine smell.

Shells great, but can't smell it by noon, and nobody else has smelled it or said anything about it, even when I go heavy on it.

pro tip from an old cowboy: this is a grown ass mans scent. if you watch youtube videos of other boys screaming while they play a video game, you'll not like this... but instead of smelling this on your delicately game controller worn fingers, ask someone you love, hopefully someone other than your mom... it gets my wife tingly... Very underrated fragrance. I don’t think it smells like an old man cologne like a lot of people say but definitely more mature than like Eros. It’s good to wear if you’re going out to a nice dinner or a night on the town. Would give it 5 if it would last a little longer.

This one may be the best one I've gotten so far I love it I always use each one I've gotten before I go to work but this one I've used more then the rest I shower everyday an I already smell awesome but this makes me feel even more amazing then I already do totally love it definitely the best I've had so far also they don't have a good fragrance family to choose from when you're rating this one but I'd say it's lightly masculine also good for all seasons an all occasions

Not good reminds me of what my grandpa used to wear jovan musk!! I don’t like it all returned it do not get this one esp of your younger like sweeter smelling stuff don’t make this mistake!

This scent is AMAZING. I don't know what everyone else is saying about scent not lasting long but ive gotten comments on my smell 5-6 hours after I applied it. I dont smell it anymore due to having smelled it for 5+ hours but others can definitely smell it. Very strong scent and the cinnamon and tobacco hits are my favorite part. Just everything about this smell literally brings joy to me, because I know I smell amazing.

I enjoyed the scent when I originally smelled it in a dept store. I sprayed a small amount on the back of my hand in the early afternoon while in the store, and the smell lasted well into the evening. When I got my sample from Scentbox, i was not disappointed scent wise, but the fragrance did not last nearly as long. I have tried to spray in several locations on my body, layering the scent under and on top of clothing, but nothing can get it to last more than a couple of hours. I don't believe it is the spray bottle they send it in, because last months scent worked just fine and lasted for hours. Maybe they altered the Formula slightly or I just got a bad batch

Frgrance is very good. But not very longlasting.

John Varvatos Vintage was intentionally made for the seasoned matured gentlemen. JV Vintage is more subtle and less sweet than the original and wears very close to the skin which is perfect for the conservative cool gentlemen over 40. Honestly, I enjoy the original JV more than this version, but I feel that JV Vintage is the cologne this gentleman should be wearing in rotation with other favorities like: Boucheron Pour Homme, Burberry London, Hypnose, Dreamer, Visit, Iceberg Twice and Givenchy Blue Label or Avon's RPM

Although the original is good, it's one major flaw to me is that it is just too damn sweet. Not so with this sequel, which adds some very well-done smoke and leather...and throws in a little dash of mystery as well. Better than the original to my nose... especially in colder weather.
