I like this scent, but it is quite masculine. It smells very much like a men’s cologne. I do enjoy it, but it’s not going to be for everyone.
To masculine for me
I have about 30 designer fragrances that I rotate between… I receive more compliments when I wear this one than any of the others, regardless of the price! I find it amazing, and clearly others do as well.
Blech. Mundane with a pretty pathetic dry down. Good thing it doesn’t last too long.
Very synthetic smelling. Very disappointing. The dry down which is unpleasant lasts forever
No.
It’s smells like a unisex cologne. I wouldn’t wear that often. It’s a bit strong for my taste.
I don’t know about anyone else, but this reminds me a lot of licorice or anise seed! Love.
Very unique smelling. Not bad at all
One of my favorite new colognes
Unfortunately, this fragrance reminds me of older ladies shopping for potpourri at Michael’s Craft store. I would never use words like delicate nor sophisticated when describing this overwhelming fragrance. (I’m a 40+ male). I’m returning my sample.
I wasn't too sure about ordering this one since I strongly dislike licorice. The licorice is very mild to my nose, though, and is more of a sweet licorice liqueur. I love the richness of this fragrance and it has a beautiful tobacco dry down that lasts. Some other L'Orchestre fragrances I've tried (The Darbouka, Piano Santal, and Cuir Kora) lack a depth I'm seeking. They're lovely, but sit closer to the "top" of my olfactory sense, not really reaching the depth I'm craving. Liqueur BPM gets closer to the balance I'm wanting in a fragrance. I'll definitely be wearing this one!
One sprat left my nasal cavity on fire and gave me a migraine. Scent smelled like something my grandpa would wear
This is an interesting aromatic perfume. On me it’s very anise forward, with cedar, vanilla and a dash of whiskey. I don’t really pick up the leather until the drydown, then it’s subtle and warm. This will be lovely for fall and winter but the anise is strong enough that I feel many folks who dislike licorice will not like it, which makes me hesitate to wear it frequently since I know licorice is polarizing. For me, it’s a solid new discovery for specific occasions, if not a signature-worthy five stars.
My wife "Likes it", but I know it's not her favorite. Personally, I really like it. It's different, clean, kinda smell the pear & liquor on the top. Thr tops notes are th4 most distinguished & then it gets in close and stays clean. Unisex, yes. But more masculine leaning. I wish it would last longer.
This is so good. Fresh, spicy, woody, slightly sweet- it ticks all the boxes. This has a similar personality to Jazz Club, Herod, Naxos, but it there's something about it that I just find so yummy. I bought this for my man and LOVE it on him, but I'd rock this myself, too. This is date-night worthy and feels so romantic to me.
Did not like this - nor did my husband.
I was tempting to give it the only 4 stars - simply because I ordered it for myself., but despite me liking this fragrance very much - it is a way too masculine for me. I understand why it considered "unisex' but for my nose - this smell is great and I told my hubby-it was his lucky month and he ended up with 2 fragrances this time. ,I amazed by fragrances uniqueness; its not heavy and its not light as well. I never experiment with many fragrances only because i am very shy to try the new stuff every month - I prefer fragrances I came across but I am glad -I tried it, never heard of this designer/company. I will be checking out our other perfumes
Perfect unisex sent!
Unisex, bold, clean, intoxicating
Just stunning.
This is really good and quite unique! Smells like elegant black licorice, whiskey and fresh juicy pears. Cacao flavored cigars are bieng smoked around you. Very elegant and night time sexy.
