Oud Immortel is created around oud, a type of wood that because of its use in traditional incense and perfume has gained culture significance and has gotten its existence recorded in one of the world's oldest written texts—the Vedas from India.

When the once light heartwood from the aquilaria tree becomes infected with a specific type of mold, it defends itself by saturating its core with a dark, highly fragrant resin. This dark wood, oud or agarwood, holds a complex fragrance, resembling few or no other natural ingredients.

Not my favorite scent from Byredo. It is very earthy and musky. I really wanted to like it but sadly it was not for me.

I really enjoy this fragrance. I have to be in the mood for it though to wear it. It is a winter scent for me as it wears heavy, even though there is quite a bit of citrus in the top. The incense blending with the oud after the citrus calms down makes for a very lovely experience. If you like earthy scents, give it a try.

Very earthy. I don't smell the incense or the cardamom. I layered it with a couple other scents to balance it out and it was nice. I don't think I would wear it alone.

Stale damp earthy smell. Oud for Me can go from love to big no this one is a no. It’s just not that interesting or pleasant of a fragrance.
