With these notes I should have loved this. I even waited a few months and revisited hoping it would macerate and smell better. But no, one of the worst perfumes I have ever smelled. I do not smell these notes at all. It smells medicinal almost.

This was a surprise...because I have no memory of adding this to my queue, LOL. So uh, imagine my consternation when instead of my usual ultra fem gourmands I got this little weirdo. I say weirdo with love, though, because this is a really interesting scent. It is unisex, and kind of smells like midwinter. It's a lot of wood and cedar with some vegetal notes from the carrot, then you get some softening from the fig and vanilla. This isn't for me, but I wouldn't hate it on someone else. Or maybe as a candle.

I don't know if i got a bad batch, but this did not smell at all like the notes listed on the scent characteristics. The best way to describe this was grandma's potpourri. It was overwhelmingly strong, but not in a good way. I LOVE Byredo fragrances and have full size bottles of Alto Astral, Mojave Ghost, Desert Dawn, Bal D'Afrique, and Gypsy Water. I'll have to smell this in the store to see if there is something I'm missing or if it just did not sit well with my body chemistry. Definitely not for me, I used one of my monthly returns to send back as I was not about to spray more than one time.

The smell out of the bottle I did not like, but once it sat on my skin for a little while it mellowed out. Not my favorite thing I’ve smelled but it’s okay.

I am a huge byredo fan.. but this is so woody & bitter on me. I wanted to love it, but this is not for me.

It's a nice fragrance, but the woodiness and masculinity is too much for me. Seeing the notes of vanilla and fig had me excited to order, because I prefer a sweet and complex perfume. When you smell this out of the bottle, it smells like fig jam, which is nice. However, the second you spray it, you're hit with intense woodiness. It's still a nice fragrance, but it's heavy and only good for winter evenings. I wouldn't reorder this.

I can appreciate that this is a very complex and sophisticated fragrance. It is just way too woody on me. The fig and vanilla do not stand a chance. I do not wear this fragrance well but someone who is in love with rich and potent wood scents I bet it's great on them.

Why did I wait so long to get this!?!? I was skeptical based on the notes but don’t let that scare you. It’s amazing and I can’t stop smelling myself. It starts out a little woody, the cedar is upfront for the first few minutes then it settles to a lovely fig slightly vanilla dream. Lasted all day on my shirt too. Full bottle worthy for sure!
