Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Francis Kurkdjian conceives his fragrances with people in mind, and what he wanted for Amyris femme was to express the quintessence of the Parisian woman, which he defines as primesautiere, a word that means perky and impulsive.
He also conceives his collection as a fragrance wardrobe for every moment of the day and with the Amyris his n hers duo, he wanted scents that could be shrugged on for daywear. Chic, but comfortable enough not to demand major commitment before spritzing.
Amyris is a wood formerly known as West Indies sandalwood, which draws its name from the Greek amyron, intensely fragrant. It was in rediscovering its scent during exercises with his apprentice that Francis Kurkdjian was inspired to use it. The word itself included iris, which yields the core accord of the fragrance. Orris butter, a high quality variety with no rooty earthy facets and amyris, which teeters between sandalwood and cedar. To make the austere iris smile like an impish Parisienne, the perfumer wraps it in a sweet, plush lemon blossom and leaves accord and dabs it with a powder puff.
Amyris femme is a Holly Golightly of a fragrance, which sparkles and charms without trying too hard. Slip into it for the office, and it'll carry you effortlessly into champagne hour.
An ode to earth’s natural elements, Amyris Femme is a luminous eau de parfum that narrates an encounter between the Amyris tree from Jamaica and the Florentine iris. Top notes of lemon tree flower and Californian orange meld with a floral heart, while a confident base of vetiver and musky amber creates a warm, lingering finish. Amyris Femme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a fragrance for women. Amyris Femme was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian.

The fragrance is light and smells like flowers, an amazing scent
Nice scent. Very floral.
I do not like this perfume AT ALL.
To me, this fragrance smells like a champagne party in a tropical greenhouse, but there’s also an old-fashioned, comforting note that I can’t quite place, but it has made me fall in love with this perfume! It’s not my usual style of fragrance, but it’s outstanding!
This fragrance is fresh, light and sophisticated.
Fragrance was too strong for my liking.
I really dislike this one. It smells sour, like something that's gone off.
I love this smell
Nice fragrance, but does not last at all. I expected better after trying Baccarat Rouge.
Love it
This is a beautiful sweet citrusy fragrance
Beautiful scent, elegant and refined. I find it appropriate for every season, but for me it’s strictly a daytime fragrance. The Iris note is subtle so it’s not my fave but it’s a safe blind buy.
Not for me. Had a harsh dry down.
I was truly looking forward to trying this scent, unfortunately I was not a fan. It’s extremely floral and smells very mature. Like something a rich grandma would wear. I had 6 different women smell it, both young and old and no one liked it. I read some of the reviews saying it smells like coco mademoiselle, I strongly disagree since I own that perfume and have compared the 2. They smell nothing alike in my opinion & the women I had smell both thought the same. I also got zero citrus from Amyris. It’s not awful, just not a scent I could wear.
Beautiful scent but not as youthful as I hoped!
Strong floral scent when sprayed. Very different from what I've previously purchased.
Love this! Lasts a long time too!
Too Strong and almost nauseating
It’s just ok.
I love this one. It has a long lasting scent.
I really like this one, it has a little bit of everything that I enjoy - perfect combination.
Extremely feminine scent. Smells a bit like mademoiselle by coco Chanel but richer.
It’s a citrusy woodsy floral! I find it to be feminine and really pretty. I loved it! But I think you need to like woody scents.
It’s very fresh and floral. It is not a sweet perfume but smells good. Great for warmer months.
Not what I expected. I heard this described as a very feminine fragrance, and I disagree. There is one floral note that's more feminine, like peony, but the rest of it is masculine and not sweet or soft. It reminds me of moms in the '90s somewhat. I also got a migraine the first time I wore it, but that may have been a coincidence. Might wear out the sample, but won't buy a full bottle.
I don’t know where to begin on this one. It’s too much. It literally punches you in the face. I don’t really care for it. I’ll stick with the A La Rose and Baccarat. Those are much sweeter smelling.
This is a beautiful feminine fragrance. The citrus of the top note is so vibrant and energetic and really lures you in. The floral heart of iris is captivating and full bodied. Love the intense amber woody dry down. Very complex and intriguing. I love it. Mysterious and feminine.
It is alright.
It smells like walking into a JCPenny.
Long lasting.
It’s nice for all seasons, sophisticated, indicates someone who has their life together but not too pushy with the sillage.
not great!
Such a sodt feminine fragrance. Sexy in such a classy way. Long lasting, definitely a compliment magnet. Love
The epitome of “Woman”! This scent is bold yet delicate. I’m not a big floral “gworl” but this one is on the sweet and delectable side. I can’t wait to layer with either MKF Baccarat 540 or Xerjoff Lira.
It's OK.
Smells amazing !!
Love it! It reminds me a little of Coco Mademoiselle. Very feminine.
Another great MFK. Lovely feminine scent.
It is a lovely fragrance but too similar to Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel, with less staying power. Exchanging for something more original.
I am a big fan of MFK perfume and this one does not not disappoint. It has an expensive sophisticated smell. Lasts all day.
It’s a very nice scent, floral, but also like luxury sunscreen. 10/10
Returning. Picked the wrong perfume. The scent gives me a headache.
