Smells really good. I love it

This did not have any coffee notes. It really didn’t smell anything but sweet. Would not recommend.

Thought Id like this- it is FAR too powdery!

Not what I was expecting. Gives more of a flowery smell than coffee.

It isn't one of my favorites it's ok not one I'll ware everyday like most of the others I've received.

It's not awful.. just not what I expected from the description. More rose than coffee, especially at first- it's ALL rose at first. Once it settles you get a faint whiff of coffee, but the rose still overpowers everything else. Isn't so bad I'm returning it, but definitely one that will only be used rarely.

I have been looking for a good coffee fragrance that doesn’t smell too sweet or chocolatey this fragrance smells nothing like coffee. The smell is very artificial it doesn’t match the price tag imo

Reminds me of Delina Exclusif due to the rose note. Love the smell but can't really smell the coffee note.

I was hoping coffee note would be stronger since the name if the fragrance is literally "intense cafe" but it's really just a rose fragrance with a hint of coffee

This is rosy and has a nice sweet musk. I am not really getting coffee though. It’s okay but kind of synthetic. I would chose a more expensive smelling musky rose if that’s what I was going for. It’s not horrible but I’ve smelled better.

I was surprised that on my skin, this has a super strong rose scent. I did not get any coffee until 2 hrs in at the fading dry down. I really liked it, though. Kind of a mature floral with sweetness and then latent coffee grounds at the end. I have layered this with LVs Rose des vents and that was interesting. I've also layered with French Coffee and that was a lovely combo. I'm still on the fence about a full bottle but I do like it.

Really not was I was expecting. On first impression it reminded me of gentle fluidity. My husband really liked it but after a while I found it a bit sickening.

I don't smell coffee at all - just roses and vanilla, but a jammy edible rose like Turkish delight. It's borderline too sweet for me, but still a really pretty fragrance that is strong and long-lasting.

Initially it smelled very powdery to me as it dried down I smelled more vanilla and it grew on me

not my favoirte, but very unqiue scent its a strong cafe smell think of a old auntie whos in a cafe.

It more floral than coffee cafe If you like a powdery floral scent it’s good, I’m just wanted more of the coffee notes, it’s not an awful scent it just not I wanted lol

You have to appreciate rose to like this. It has a very similar profile to Delina. Coffee is there but it is in the background and not prominent at all, so I really don’t even get why that’s what it is called. lol. But it is pretty. Could last longer.

I can see how some may find this to be unisex, but it definitely is more masculine on the opening to me. This had almost no coffee scent to me at all until the dry down. Even then it's not what I was expecting or hoping for

I own this scent and I think it would be helpful for people to take the name with a grain of salt. Montale does have a coffee forward fragrance (I believe it is called ristretto) Intense Cafe, on the other hand is very rose forward. It does dry down to a warm vanilla. For reference, it is most frequently associated with MFK's Oud Satin Mood.

I was expecting a bit more of a coffee smell… it’s ok. I definitely wouldn’t buy it.

This one is rather Nostalgic. It has that signature Montale feel with a slit twist for the Montale lovers. This is spectacular & very unisex. I've also found that if this is layered with a scent with a slit undertone of Tobacco turns this into something else completely

I wasn't sure about selecting this because I'm one of the rare people who do not like Black Opium. (Don't come at me! LoL) Upon first spray, the coffee notes are strong, however it dries down to a delicious warm and cozy scent with a touch of vanilla that isn't sickeningly sweet. It's been my favorite fragrance thus far in monthly subscriptions. If you like Atelier Cologne's Vanille Insensée, I think you might like this. In fact, I've layered both for longevity and a twist. It's probably more a date night scent; however, I wear it whenever I want.

Like other reviewers, I'm a bit disappointed. By the name of this perfume, I was expecting it to strongly smell of coffee. Instead the coffee scent was in the background and a powdery, almost grandma's bathroom, scent was in the forefront. I wore it on skin and it changed throughout the day, but received no comments from anyone (I believe that's a bit of a sign that it's not very alluring). If you're on the hunt for just a twinge of coffee scent, this would be for you. But don't be misled by the name of the perfume. Hope this helps-

Very good coffee fragrance, not as long lasting as I thought though

Smells like dirty sock smell that’s tried to be covered up with baby powder. Super strong lasting smell but unfortunately the smell is not good for me. Headache inducing.

I really was expecting an intense coffee scent… it smells more like mocha to me which I also love but it’s not intense cafe, yk! So I’m a bit disappointed but this scent is very long lasting, this is why I give it 4 stars ?? I feel like autumn would be the perfect season to wear this scent.

Definitely a spray on skin perfume, I did clothes and skin test and the smell clings to skin better. At first I only smelt the rose sweet scent but oddly also a grape/fruity smell but when I let it settle the roasted scent came through though subtle. It's like a coffee, nutty smell. But it is a rose dominate scent and then randomly the coffee smell. Overall, good scent but not one I would order again.

Didn’t like the scent at first. Felt too floral/powdery, but once it settled I LOVEDDD it! Lasted almost 9 hours at work too.

It wasn't my favorite if the 3 samples I've received so far, but I did really enjoy it. I liked the subtle coffee/ dark chocolate notes and I felt that it lasted a very long time.

So I agree with the reviewer Charlotte, she gave an exact review! With this parfum I get hints of chocolate/mocha in the background(instead of straight coffee), I also get a hint of vanilla and like she said and described perfectly "rose water", not a heavy musky rose, just a rose water. This parfum smells EXACTLY the same like almost identical to my house of sillage Batman, and I was worried she would phase it out of her collection but now I have this, if that does ever happen. This scent is very long lasting, it radiates beautifully off the the skin, I will get a full bottle as soon as my Batman, is gone.

Intense is an understatement. I actually felt like I had trouble breathing while it was on and I normally prefer a stronger scent!

The pungent coffee aroma is a hit! It lingers in a nice way and stands strong against all Temps. It even hit Hader as I socialized outdoors.

Amazing. My new go to. Not as intense of a coffee note like black opium would have. Would pair amazingly with New York Nights by Bond No. 9 or coffee break by maison margiela. Very floral, coffee lingers in the background. There is musk too. I sprayed 2 sprays on my wrist yesterday and took 2 showers and i can still smell it lingering! It is very strong! One spray on my wrist/ middle of forearm and i could smell it everywhere i went.

From all the travel sized bottles I have received during my subscription, this is definitely the best smelling. Feels like a cozy and welcomed coffee hug, even if you are a non coffee drinker like me.

The rose is really strong when you first spray it (I'm not a rose fan), but it settles out and the amber and musk scents linger nicely. I don't get a huge hit of coffee but maybe I'm desensitized due to the large amounts I drink. This perfume lasts all day and I get a ton of compliments.

Perfect for the Halloween season. Especially paired with Too Faced Cinnamon Swirl palette. The smell of this fragrance transports me inside a little cozy café in Europe that smells like coffee and freshly baked vanilla scones and cinnamon buns.

Unfortunately it has that same sharp lingering note that Arianna Grande cloud has - I think it's the musk. But it's this very sharp, very artificial smelling note that I'm noticing in newer perfumes. It completely overpowers what would have been a nice scent. I got an nauseating headache

Wore this to work when i received it and everyone said i smelled so good! the room smelled like the perfume and lasted so long. definitely a great scent

I didn't like the initial spray, but it grow on me after it dried down. I probably wouldn't buy a full bottle, but I will reach for this perfume periodically.

DING DING DING! We havw a winner. This is beautiful. This fragrance is something special. It begins with a hint of luxe coffee which is reminiscent of a french cafe. It settles into a lovely chocolatey coffee mocha scent with a dash of vanilla and a splash of rosewater. Then I was blown away after I thought it couldnt get any better, every once in a while I would get a wisp of the most sublime scent that was reminiscent of walking through a rose garden while drinking an exotic cup of coffee originating from Ethiopia. This will be my Signature scent. I am in love with this fragrance. I immediately purchased a full bottle. Long lasting at around 10 hours ie a full work day before it started to weaken. And silage is great. It's definitely in your face. Not close to skin but also isn't offensively in your face like say Black Orchid can be. Love love love.

I just did not like the scent at all. didn't smell much of vanilla or coffee. I have a very unrefined nose so I cant id notes that were or werent coming through but it was kind of a painful scent for me (mid 20s, fem)

This was a pass for me. I LOVE coffee so I was surprised when this one made me feel nauseous to smell it on me. I gave it a try but was grateful to have such an amazing exchange policy.

I heard a lot about his fragrance from several people that I follow on social media. I can see why this is recommended by so many it’s very nice the projection on this is moderate but it did last on my skin all day

I really enjoy Intense Café. It's definitely a sweet scent that holds true to its name. Coffee is present but it's more an overall café or high end coffee shop aroma than just coffee. I get the sweetened milk and baked goods scent first, followed by a mellow coffee scent. The rose isn't as strong as I feared it would be. I wish it was longer lasting.

Mostly good but has a bitter trait to it that just seemed to clash with the coffee scent?

So disappointed by this one. Not worth the hype at all :(( Opening has something sharp fruity like kids shampoo, and the rest is just rose. No coffee at all ??
