Got the sample vial. Wasn't bad, just not impressed. Not an everyday thing if your searching for a signature scent.

Not blown away yet. Seems rather ordinary for such an expensive fragrance. I may need a few more tries to make a fair assessment. Right now though, I am not impressed.

Great woody scent for the colder weather. Doesn’t really last long. But I’ll try a new method of applying to try to extend the longevity.

Tom Ford always delivers at a higher elevation than most, in my opinion. Oud Wood is exactly what the title implies. My inexperienced nose smells a dreamy mix, and it is stunning!

Beautiful & Smooth Oud with woodiness perfect for fall/winter

Love this. Its one of my new favorites. It smells so natural and not overly synthetic. Nothing but compliments from everyone I meet.

I sampled it on my arm when I got it a couple hours ago. The fragrance evolves over time. It was a heavy woodsy aroma on the first spray but as it dried it turned into incense and spices. This is not an everyday scent. I think I’ll save this one for special occasions. I feel like I need to be dressed up to wear this one.

This is absolutely a great perfume with woodsy and sandalwood notes. The pepper notes are not overwhelming, but the perfume literally sits on your skin i.e. the sillage is low.

I really like it but it doesn’t last very long. You catch a whiff here and there throughout the day. I usually get compliments from my colognes. Not one from this one. I always do just one spray on the chest. Overall I’m disappointed for such a high end cologne. I’d much rather have creed aventus.

A woodsy, sandalwood scent. Pleasant, though. Zero projection. Lays very, very close to the skin. Poor sillage.

Why use the name oud? All I get is leather and wood. Wood isn’t the same as oud. Decent, non offensive blind buy for the office. Don’t see what the buzz is about though. Performance is basically non existent.

I created an account with scent box to find a replacement for my favorite scent 'gucci pour homme 2003' and most of my reviews scents are going to be ordered with that in mind. Tom Ford's Oud Wood has a signature 'sexy pencil shavings' scent that is incredibly perfect for anyone looking for a warm, spiced wood scent. Like rich, loved, old furniture in a library over 500 years old. And on a oak desk is a fire baked clay bowl filled with ripe red grapes, and what feels like a satchel of geranium.

I like the scent, but it was a little too peppery for me.

Love this smell, very sophisticated, definitely one I will be permanently adding to my collection!

A fresh scent with a pepper and woodsy undertone. It's light and projects moderately. My wife commented it was "nice" when she smelled it on paper. I used 5 sprays on skin and undershirt mid day. Later that evening while snuggling, my wife feel in love with the fragrance. She said "Tom Ford knows what he's doing!". She really liked the cool down. Projection is moderate, it's more of a skin scent. Longevity is about 4-6hrs. Expensive at full price, but may be a good buy if you can find it on sale.

It was okay if woody smells are your thing. My wife wasn’t a big fan because it smelled like “old man”. Still a great scent just not suited to our palette. Hot summer days the smell will dissipate faster from your body but I could still smell it on my shirt in the laundry bin the next morning.

So I finally gave in and decided to see what the TF Oud Wood hype was all about.. and I was NOT disappointed!! I found my new, favorite ‘go-to’ scent. My only real complaint would be that it does not stay with you for very long considering the price tag that accompanies it.

A gorgeous fragrance that starts out a little sharp, but mellows out after 20 minutes. Can’t wait to try this on for a date. A few squirts are enough and it welcomes rather than announcing itself.

Love this! I added this one to my cue for my husband after receiving a sample in the mail from Tom ford. Great date night and event scent! He wore it to our family Christmas parties this year and it was just perfection. 9/10 for a travel size/scentbox experience, longevity is an issue but the scent itself is so good! Would not buy a full bottle due to price vs longevity though.

It's a cologne that settled down first spray would of been a 1 star but as time went on it smelled great kinda resembles ombre leather but not to much . Would recommend on like a nice diner date.

The smell is nice and mature. Problem is that longevity is very poor. Spraying 4-5 time in the morning and scent is gone before lunch. If it had better duration it would be 4.5 for me.

I love this. I know Tom Ford fragrances are not labeled as for a certain gender, which really appeals to me. This one is probably mostly worn by guys, but I love it. I'm crazy about woody notes in perfume and Oud Wood is so rich with wood and it turns nice and soft and powdery on me while still retaining the wood base note. I don't get floral notes here as mentioned by some reviews, but some freshness, maybe a little green, like moist freshly cut wood on the top at first. It's one I'd buy a full bottle of. I just spray a small amount because I like to keep it in my personal space.

This is the first Tom Ford fragrance that I don't hate. I did not really care for it at first, but over time it began to grow on me. Now it's in my top 5 scents. Yes it's more on the mature side, but it's good for a night out.

Woody & Party!

I was waiting patiently for this scent because of the great reviews. It was exactly what I expected. It smells manly and is just smells amazing. I put it at 7 am in the morning and I could still get a whiff of it when I left work at 4.

It’s good but since I’ve been getting more and more to middle eastern fragrances, it’s been falling more and more off of my radar. I use it now as more of a work cologne. It’s is still good for the average Oud lover. Highly recommend adding this to your collection.

Amazing!! The 1st time I smelled this scent I was totally put off. But the second time, same thing and was starting to think people were blinded by the name Tom Ford. 2 weeks later I smelled it again in a decant and... I was blown away by how sexy, mysterious, and exciting this oud smelled. To say the least I was OBSESSED!!!! I sprayed it on the back of my hand, a scent strip, my clothes, everything so I could smell like this in my house (because it was summer time). I can't wait for a little colder weather so I can rock this stuff everyday. All I can say is get it and give it a fair shot before you make your opinion. 5*

This is my 2nd Tom Ford cologne and this one smells just as amazing. I sprayed a little when visiting family and everyone was asking why I smell so damn good. Great scent for dinner/date night. Not powerful but it lasts several hours.

I’m in love with this Tom ford fragrance. It has it all. At first I didn’t care for it but as time has gone by and my taste has evolved I can appreciate the depth and character of this scent.

This is a very fresh and clean scent. It doesn’t give me the wow factor but it’s still clean and subtle.

I received a sample of this wanting to like it because I really like Royal Oud by Creed. This has a very chemical like opening and smells almost identical to a tire dressing I use. Thankfully even with 5 sprays nobody can smell it, it's so weak. I will try this again when the weather warms up.

Im new to this but this has been my favorite sent so far. I work outdoors in the winter and i like this oud wood.

This is a 5 Star fragrance but longevity is the issue. It smells woody with vert slight hints of pepper and after a bit you get a creamy mess to it.

I got this for my husband and so glad I did, it's such a perfect fragrance. Another masterpiece from TF. It's a clean fresh-out-of-the-shower scent (I was almost expecting it to be as heavy as Oud for Greatness but it's not at all). A perfectly versatile day or night, fall or summer, office or evening out scent. But leans more cold weather and night out. The warmth of the woodsy notes is brightened and rounded out with pepper and cardamom.

It smells amazing, but the longevity and projection are the worst I’ve ever experienced. It’s so sad because it really is one of the best smelling woodsy colognes I’ve smelled, but 10+ sprays and I asked someone their opinion about an hour later and the said they couldn’t smell anything from a foot away. I’ll settle for a dupe because this stuff is pretty much expensive water.

This is the scent I’ve been looking for. I’ve been trying to replace Polo Explorer for years now since it was discontinued and have never been able to find something that I liked as much. Of course, it’ll take a while before I can make a long term judgement but so far I love it.

This is a beautiful combination of woods. It makes me think of cedar chest drawers. It could absolutely be a masculine scent, but it's very natural fresh-cut wood makes it light enough for feminine wear. I love it, but I did not find it dynamic. Warm wood but little of anything else. It actually made me think of the Duke Canon soap my husband loves.

Tom Ford consistently has wowed me and was one of the major players in getting me into modern fragrance collection. This is one of their top scents. Scent 9/10 Performance 6/10

When I went to Vegas, I had never heard of oud wood and I stumbled upon a Tom ford boutique and the madam gave me a sample. I had to buy this because it is so intoxicating, and every time I smell it… I think of Vegas.
