I was so looking forward to trying one of the Marly scents, but sadly this was a huge no for me. I literally cannot stand the initial scents of it. Almost makes me think of a leathery plastic pepper burning chemical smell. I've tried a few times and still can't do it. I will say after it dries down after a few hours it does mellow out and sometimes I think it's pleasant, but I can't tolerate the smell in the meantime.

Smells like soil or a funeral

Tried to like it...wanted to like it..hate it. Just not for me.

Worst cologne i have ever smelt. But the longitivy is monster, it never came off after I washed my hands 5 times..

smells fruity on me, got 2 compliments while wearing. First pepper scent I've tried, and it seems to agree with my chemistry

Kalan wasn't quite what I expected. It's a bold and busy fragrance, reminiscent of the rich and vibrant atmosphere of a spice shop.

Quite strong and masculine. Not bad but will be a once in a while sent.

Beast mode activated! Couple sprays and you’re set for the day. I personally love it, but it’s not for everyone. Very strong!!

A little too manly smelling for my taste. Seems to start off way too strong and fade quickly. Might be a good winter time scent.

It starts off smelling a little bit like Tom Ford Neroli to me. The citrus REALLY hits in the opening. But it takes a long time to dry down and start to change. The spice starts to come trough. It is a little Baccarat-ISH but not quite. I feel like if you have Neroli or Baccarat you would like this, but may not need it if you have those already.

I’m not a fan of the strong spicy opening but the dry down seems nice. I need more time to see if this is a keeper.

It was amazing

I really liked this scent. Very unique. Long lasting. I didn’t love it at first but the dry down kept getting better. I think it’sa great fall/winter scent. It’s a more mature scent in my opinion. Wife didn’t really like it tho, that’s why I took off one star.

People seem to either love or hate this one. I enjoyed it so much after receiving a sample that I purchased a bottle. I think it's great because it's unique and last long, has great projection. Not a BR540 clone. Great for fall/winter and formal or work setting. Try before you buy.

I hated the smell of this one so I sent it back for an exchange. Sour and earthy with a touch of cumin. Yuk.

I got it for my husband and he loves it. Now I know what else to add to his Christmas list.

Nice fragrance and truly unisex, but I prefer more feminine.

I.am.in.love My daughter’s name is Kalyn so I choose this partially based off of that and of course its notes! Hoping I can save enough to make this my signature scent I love this so much!

I liked this one alot. It's different. Warm and spicy... you can smell the lavender. Works well with my body chemistry. I want a full bottle of this one.

Wore it to work and it was still around by the afternoon. Lasts a long time. Smells kinda spicy and sultry even. It can smell pretty strong at first, but it kinda mellows out as time goes on.

No more than 2 sprays or you’ll be in the shower scrubbing it off. Decent scent if not over applied, otherwise it smells like a stinky old lady with too much perfume on.

This fragrance is pretty good for a unisex fragrance. I’ve found I’m not a fan of most unisex frags. I tried this one though because I LOVE quite a few of the PDM fragrances but was a little disappointed with this one. It is strong though and lasts A LONG TIME which is typical of PDMS

This is definitely not for me way too spicy for my taste, had PDM added some sweetness to the fragrance I think it would have worked, I remember reading a review saying that this fragrance was similar to BR540, so I decided to give a shot it smells nothing like MFK. I’m thankful there’s fragrance Subscriptions that allow individuals to sample scents before committing to buy a full bottle, this is a challenging niche fragrance that only hardcore fragheads can tolerate, I’ve been sampling buying selling and collecting fragrances for 7 years, so I have some experience with scents that don’t sit well with me and this is one of them.

Amazing Fragrance ?? ??

When I first got this, I absolutely hated it. All I smelt was bell peppers. After giving it a chance I’ve fell in love with it. It’s strong and peppery with spice and it is just a scent that I would smother myself in.

Have hearing a lot of Parfums De Marly's praised fragrance, Layton, I decided to discover what else the line had to offer. This fragrance was all but a disappointment, to put it nicely. The pepper note is unbearable, drowning out other notes in the fragrance.
