D.S. & Durga
Still as a silvered sunset on a dry summer's eve, Cowboy Grass crackles with quiet urgency across the skin. Parched and desolate, the sagebrush awaits the fire. The scent teeters on the edge of ignition, but seems somehow to hold back, soothed perhaps by a sense of latent moisture in the air, brushing through the flowering white thyme and prairie switchgrass. The rooty majesty of vetiver is one of perfumery's most vital and transcendent notes, the full flavor secreted away in the rhizome of Chrysopogon zizanioides which is harvested, hung and dried like precious game.
Cowboy Grass is lit through with Haitian vetiver, known for its sweeter, smokier tones. The fragrance settles into a calming rhythmic aridity, vast and mysterious. We see the hands of Christina Olson in Wyeth's iconic 1948 painting planted firmly in the grass as she looks up at that distant haunting grey house. One of the most skeletal depictions of landscape in scent, Cowboy Grass is a quiet masterpiece, a poignant scent of hush and privacy.

Just really hit me the wrong way. It smelled ok initially, but as the hours wore on, I decided I needed to wash it off. Reminds me of something the school librarian might wear.
Smells medicinal and leathery
Love this wonderful colonge
One of my new favs. Absolutely love it
Cowboy Grass I liked this scent a lot. It made me think of the expression "a roll in the hay". It doesn't project a lot, but I think it's a really fun casual scent.
Its definitely unique. It smells like pot. I once had an air freshener that mimicked marijuana smell and this reminds me of it. but definitely smells a bit old personish.
It’s too masculine for me, but it’s a nice grassy smokey fragrance!
The vetiver is definitely strong, but I do enjoy the smoky aspect with a touch of freshness initially. Overall, vetiver can come off strong on my skin, but I feel like this has some uniqueness.
This smell is way to grassy. It doesn't smell woodsy just grass. I had such high hopes for this one bc I love the all the key notes, but it was I BIG disappointment.
Soft and beautiful
Not my cup of tea… Strong initially, mild after 30minutes.
I thought this would smell a little more natural but it’s got a slightly chemical mosquito repellent odor that I don’t love. It mellows out a bit after a while and could work as a sharp grassy layer, but on its own I don’t enjoy it.
Gotten a few compliments, smell seems to fade pretty early
Smells like an upgraded Stetson cologne back in the day. Good for older men maybe.
Someone on a different site said this smelled like herbal mosquito spray, and I agree. If I bought a bug spray from Whole Foods and this is what it smelled like, I wouldn't be disappointed, but as a perfume, I have to pass.
Lovely fresh green scent. Not floral, slightly woodsy.
My boyfriend smells like Colorado in summer, I love it on him. Clean, no gross musky scent.
Very Earthy and different! an acquired smell for sure!
Woody & earthy, I get so many compliments!
