Nice at the beginning but too woody for my taste.
Very disappointed in the longevity of this scent. Was super looking forward to Gypsy campfire mystery and romance. But this fragrance is faded. Comes out faded and fades some more. Weak. Needs something dirty and deep to bind to. Not an oud. Not a leather. Maybe something smokier like ashes or dank like moss and vegetation. Not enough scent or sililiage for me. I was sad. It has the potential to be in the top.
Beautiful & unique but doesn't last long at all. It def needs something like Vaseline to hold the scent longer
Absolutely love this scent it smells fresh but sexy but earthy and sultry and innocent all at the same time
Beautiful unisex fragrance. Woody and sweet with a smidge of citrus. The smell is amazing but short lived. The performance is terrible and it does not project far.
Fresh, clean, and subtle. I could see this becoming one of the top fragrances in my rotation, but the longevity and sillage are severely lacking. I just can't justify the price for a soft scent that has no projection or staying power.
3.5 stars. Great fragrance but so unbelievably short lived it is quieter than a body spray. It is fresh and almost like a blast of lemon at first. Very nice.
I loved the scent but I had to over spray and it didn't last. Disappointing because I would purchase a full size bottle, otherwise.
It is fresh and clean with a hint of spice and musk. It's a cool girl scent. Very nice, but not as interesting as other scents by Byredo. Not as long lasting and not much projection. Safe for office and an easy pick for everyday scent.
Good smell but takes a lot and doesn't last.
Smells clean, but I found this scent boring, reminds me of a watered down "Florida water"
Smells clean and sexy! Doesn’t last long. Target Finery has a good dupe!
Subtle scent and great for everyday wear
Throughout the day I'm perceiving new elements as if my nose is unwilling to smell the same combination of notes more than once. My favorites aspects are in the opening notes and in heart notes just as they are drying down. The top peppery notes combine differently with each citrus note evoking an emotional feeling that registers with energy and excitement. There are moments where the heart notes disappear. (So glad someone else noticed this - I was questioning my experience). Suddenly the heart notes seem to bloom and it's truly delicate and beautiful. After 6 hours all I'm smelling is an elevated clean skin scent. With re-application I felt like the top notes lingered longer. I definitely wish the projection was better. I've rarely sprayed myself more than twice - about 6 sprays gave me more of what I was hoping for.
I am quite literally obsessed with this scent. It’s light and fresh and not over powering. I find myself always going back to order again.
Just doesn't smell good. Smells like power bait. weak. uninteresting.
At first I didn't like this perfume. Mostly because I was comparing it to Bal dafrique by this brand, which I totally adore. Now that I am giving fair chance I do like it quite a bit! It is growing on me. It is fresh citrus and very light woody smell. I really like this pine needle smell with little bit of sweetness added to it. Great out of shower fresh smell.
This smells great but doesn’t last real long.
limited longevity but very pretty! More of a layering fragrance for me. Wouldn't buy a whole bottle but would be perfect if you like a more intimate village
I like this perfume, but it is familiar. With limited longevity and a spendy price point, I can't see going full bottle on this one.
Love the smell. Fresh but a little musky and citrusy. Definitely one of my favorite fresh scents just wish it lasted longer.
This is a beautiful aromatic, juniper vanilla scent. On me, it lasts a few hours, having better longevity than I was expecting. It's a fresh summer vanilla for me. For reference, the scent profile is similar to Diptyque Eau Duelle, though it's a touch lighter. Simply put, I love this. For the price, I will not purchase a full bottle, but I'd consider another decant next summer.
It’s OK. Fresh subtle fragrance, but does not last long. Do not love it enough to buy again.
It's a very warm scent that hugs you in and you don't want to let go. A lot of people are saying it's daytime summer smell, but I would say it's more of a sunset in fall vibe. Very warm, I smell cloves more than anything and then it opens into something sweet later. I love it! Will be getting a full bottle!
Gypsy water is a fresh, pleasant mellow fragrance that smells of vanilla, lemon and pine with supporting notes of incense and sandalwood. The aroma notes are similar to Ormand Jayne's Woman but have a totally different character. Gypsy Water is gentle, sweet and vaguely gourmand (think vanilla wafer cookies), where Woman is stronger and earthy. It also has similarities to Molecule 01, a fragrance with ISO super E, that gives it a gypsy-like character where the scent disappears and reappears randomly during the day. This modern chemical's strange behavior may be due to an anosmatic property or something in the air that combines and triggers its scent. At any rate, it is a delightful characteristic. If it's also an ingredient in GW, it explains the reported short lived performance and also its longevity. It's dry down is similar to Mojave Ghost, very nice with a tart, sweet woodiness that feels natural on the skin.
I literally smell nothing.
The description sounds like something I would enjoy but I didn’t like it. I thought it lasted pretty long and couldn’t wait to shower it off. My husband said I smelled like an old lady lol! I didn’t think that, but it had a note that I didn’t like at all.
You know I really tried to love it but it falls a little flat for me. I do like the smell it's lovely it just doesn't last as long as i would like and I'm not running out to buy it because of that. It gets 3 because i do like the smell but it doesn't get 4 or 5 because it's not my favorite scent and it doesn't last as long as i would like.
I was expecting more.
Absolutely not. Lasts for about 10 minutes on skin, 30 mins on clothing. Lovely smell however this lasting power is an absolute joke. Shame on Byredo for producing such a weak scent. I was able to confirm that an oil roller dupe that I have is spot on though by comparing this. That one lasts all day. I will be sticking to that!
At first spray I did not like it. However, the dry down is much better! It has an unusual woodsy mixed with citrus scent to it. It is a light scent that can be worn for any occasion.
It was nice. It wasn't as warm as I thought it would be but I liked it.
This scent takes citrus and warms it up; makes it more skin-like. I like it, but I wish it had better longevity. The sillage is also weak, but I can forgive that because of the skin-like nature of the scent.
This is a pleasant smelling perfume. The longevity performance is fair. If you experienced Mojave Ghost, this is similar in terms of scent.
I absolutely love this scent. It's a very close scent, which i like.
I love the smell of this fragrance. It's fresh and clean. The reason for 3 stars is I cannot smell it on my skin. Either there is no longevity or I cannot smell something in this particular fragrance.
I greatly dislike this. Everyone I let smell it at work disliked it as well.
Idk what it is about Byredo but so far every one I’ve tried has blown me away. So fresh and exquisite. Doesn’t last a really long time but that is a lot the Byredo collection as well. That’s the only problem with spending that kind of money of their fragrances bc lack of longevity. However I do love it.
its ok
Beautiful scent, just doesn't last long enough at all, my bottle lasted about a week since you had to use so much to smell it. I have the heart if a hippie, it was really a let down
Love love. So light and fresh! So far I’ve gotten only about 2 hours of silage however, so will need to play with application and see what works best. Lovely, soft creamy fresh scent.
Absolutely love this fragrance. I just wish it had a little more sillage and longevity. Otherwise it is a 5 star scent
unless I was sent the wrong scent, this smells like cheap vanilla fields. I do not smell any scents that are advertised, or as others state they notice.
Very pretty but lasted about an hour on me. Not for me.
Not your typical freshie. It’s light and clean smelling but has an edge to it from the leather and wood. It’s perfect for an every day scent and is office safe. Like most freshies, it doesn’t last long, so you have to reapply throughout the day.
Such a lovely scent. Fresh and woody!! I do find it to be full bottle worthy although longevity and projection aren’t the greatest. Definitely disappointing considering Byredo prices. So be prepared to always carry a decant.
Such a summer scent. It's so fresh but the dry down is so unique. Definitely don't have ANYTHING like it in my collection. I'm so glad that I came across this. I would say the only con about this is that it's not long lasting on my skin.
My new favorite freshie!!! Bright, cheerful and light enough for the hot and humid days of summer w/o doing a disappearing act 10 mins after spraying. Definitely full bottle worthy!
I love the smell just doesn’t last long like I expected it to.
Love, love love, this!! Relates an Exciting, daring feeling to me. Bit of spice, Amber wood, Very fresh, maybe a tad floral. It’s hard to describe.
Liked it but was expecting way more of a Byredo fragrance. Usually the fragrances last forever. This one did not and is pretty soft. Smells nice but goes away quickly
Immediate impression after spraying is aromatic, almost incense-like, and citrus. It dries down fast to a very pleasant clean laundry smell, but has 0 projection and lasts less than an hour.
This is a beautiful scent. Typically I like citrus, fresh, aquatic and light floral scents or vanilla based scents. This is a lot heavier than I typically go for. However there is something lovely about the spices and vanilla in this. It’s not too feminine and very nostalgic. It’s a cult favourite of course and I can see why people love it so much. Certainly worth a try.
Amazing
Rich hippie vibes. Totally my lane. I wish it projected more and lasted longer.
Light, fresh, woody, feminine leaning. Easy to wear. Love the scent but the longevity & projection is pretty awful.
Heavier and sweeter than I remember. Like an amber wood, with a hint of spice and citrus. Smells a little more like a perfume than cologne. The longevity of Byredo frags has always poor thought and this is too.
Very feminine seeming fragrance with little to no projection and not much in the way of layer change. The smell just seems to dull rather than evolve.
I had high hopes for this fragrance but unfortunately it didn't suit my skin chemistry. It started out as a citrus scent, but the sandalwood in the dry down just smelled like smoky B.O. on my skin. It doesn't project too much, and is definitely more of a close skin scent by the end.
As a man I think this scent is very gender neutral. Very clean and enjoyable. 3 stars though because it really doesn't last long or project well, even if I use ~10 sprays on my pulse points. You'll be lucky to get more than a few hours out of it.
I like this scent, found it to be fresh and clean w/powdery dry down. I picked up the lemon note more than I would have cared for but still enjoyed it. Only problem was it wasn't very strong or long lasting.
Easy breezy, yet feminine. Smells like a forest full of flowers in the morning crisp grass.
