To me this does not smell like its description at all, it has an almost almond vanilla scent to me. It pairs really well with the shea butter body oil I’ve been using (and the oil helps the perfume last longer on me). I actually really like this scent, despite not liking the smell of vanilla. It’s a sophisticated fragrance without smelling too mature.

I really like this scent. I was expecting more cherry, but it's honestly more of a root beer scent? It think it smells gorgeous & I love a good soda scent. I'd purchase a full bottle for sure.

This does not smell like the description. I have been trying to make this work for me by layering it with different scented body lotions and other fragrances. Especially ones that are more cherry or tonka dominant. This helps my experience wearing the fragrance, but honestly I should've returned it. It's really underwhelming on me. It's a whisper of cherry (more cola) not particularly smokey or vanilla. Easy to pass over for others in my collection.

This is a guilty pleasure - doubtful I'd wear it in public. I was puzzled at first whiff. Initially it smelled overly sweet and juvenile. I wondered how a serious perfumer could create this. Then I wore it again and again finding something more interesting each time: the smoke, the spice, the amber, the musk... Then I started to feel like I had a really good secret, like I was breaking a rule by liking it. Rouge Smoking is kind of fabulous - like plus size burlesque.

This definitely smells like the bottle caps candy! It's a little sweet for me, but I do like it. It's not something I'd reach for every day.

I was disappointed after reading many wonderful reviews. I was looking for something feminine with a little spice to it.

I was really bummed that I didn’t love this one, I was so sure that I would. With the cherry, vanilla, and tonka bean mixed with a slight bit of smokiness, this sounds like a winner. It fell short for me. On me, this has almost no longevity and little sillage. It comes off smelling like a smoldering Dr. Pepper, not good.

Zero longevity and it’s more smoky than anything. The cherry coke scent lasts about 10 minutes before the try dry down kicks in.

It’s me how this perfume has gotten such favorable reviews, other than the bandwagon effect. To my nose this is a singular note fragrance: root beer. That’s all I get. In this case it’s a good thing longevity and sillage aren’t there because I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to smell like root beer.

I sprayed this and it smelled wonderful like a refined cherry coke lol but within 30 secs of spraying there was zero scent left behind literally nothing I've never experienced this with a fragrance its so strange.

Cherry cream soda syrup and amber. I love this. It's not as aggressively sexy or mature as I thought it would be and what I was looking for but it smells delicious. It is quite linear - what you smell after five minutes is what you smell after five hours. There's not much development. But, it makes me happy!

Sweet, sexy, different, fun.

It's a warm fragrance, something you would want to wear in cooler temperatures. To me it smells of smokey woodiness, cinnamon and incense.

Absolutely love this scent, it's a perfect blend of sweet and musky. I only took off 1 star for it's longevity, it's not got the lasting power that I'd like....but I like a strong parfume, so this might be nice for others.

This is a rather long lasting scent which is great. However the scent is very unique. After about 10 minutes of settling it puts off the scent of rootbeer. I truly feel like a walking rootbeer float when wearing this.

If you like the smell of Dr. Pepper, you will like this! It smells really good. Great going out scent. I’m pretty sure it ls the Cherry and Tonka combo that’s giving Dr.pepper and it’s gorgeous. Love this scent. It is an Amber gourmand.

A fun fragrance that isn't trying to be cute or girly.

It’s a very pretty vanilla based scent that isn’t overwhelming. I really like it and can see myself wearing it regularly in the winter.

I liked this a lot better than I thought I would. I get mostly almond, vanilla, and cherry. It seems pretty well blended and wearable in the office or on a date.

Starts off with slight cherry and bergamot. Gets a little sour and then mellows out tot his beautiful tonka bean, vanilla, woody gourmand. So beautiful. Smells almost like root beer too!

Beautiful and so unique. When I describe it as a Cherry float, that sounds juvenile , but this is not! It’s very sexy and sophisticated!! It is not a medicinal Cherry scent unlike some other popular ones. Very beautiful and nicely balanced.

Love this. It gives Root beer/Cherry Coke/Dr Pepper vibes but in the best way. It’s sweet but not syrupy, and spice plus a hint of powder. Really well blended and it balances the cherry tonka and vanilla very evenly. Not a powerhouse but a great scent. Side note. I got this as an exchange. Super easy process and glad I used it because this is way more my vibe than the one I returned.

This is definitely more of a fall fragrance than a summer fragrance that it's listed as. As soon as it gets cooler in my area, this is going to be a fall reach. I'm definitely debating on purchasing a full bottle for myself as a Christmas gift.

This is the first perfume from this house I've tried. This smells really good. It is one of the few unisex fragrance I've smell that is truly unisex. Usually, I think they lean either masculine or feminine. This would smell great on a man or women in my opinion. Very Sexy! I only gave it 4 stars because it faded fast on my skin and wasn't very strong.

On me the initial spray smelled VERY much like a cola, mayyybe a cherry cola but definitely recognizable as cola. Perhaps not a Coke but an RC Cola or a store-brand. As soon as it dried it became resinous, reminiscent of a crystal shop incense. I was surprised there is not sandalwood note. I guess that’s the smoke part, maybe the cashmere wood or the labdanum? It’s a gorgeous, intriguing and unique fragrance! Just not very “me”.

True uni-sex perfume. My husband and I love this scent. It opens up with vanilla sweetness which is mellowed some by the pepper and is warmed up with a touch of almond. The base that lingers most is the smokey tobacco smell and the cashmere wood and musk smooths it out to give it a leather/sultry finish. A beautiful fragrance that I cannot get enough of that lasts ~6 hours. Not office appropriate or for the hot weather. It is a heavy smell that does not lighten up. Can be worn during the day for special occasions, but it shines at night for any event. Scent Image: Opening a can of root beer while wearing a leather jacket next to a crackling fire outside.

Love this one! I was hoping that it wouldn't be too sweet - there are plenty of those in the market. Rouge Smoking starts off fruity then transitions into a sexy warm dry down. It's one that would pair well with a sweeter gourmand or as an everyday scent

I can't decide if I like this or not - it is full of contradictions for me. It is a fun, playful and quirky scent but has a darker smokey side to it. At the same time, it is comforting yet not really in my comfort zone, familiar yet unique. It is not an easy reach for me. Not a hate but not a love either. I definitely do pick up a sweet soda scent (reminiscent of a root beer mixed with Dr pepper and some cherry cola - with that slight medicinal cherry flavor). Will try this in fall and perhaps will enjoy it more then. Not full bottle worthy for me at least not right now - still glad I have the decant to play in.

I LOVE this scent, slightly sharp opening but then dries down to the most beautiful non-artificial smelling sweet cherry. Really considering buying a full bottle. My only criticism would be that the longevity could be better, on me it only lasts about 3 hours.

I wanted to love this and was hoping to get the soda smell on my skin. On me it was more smokey which isn’t my fav. I need to give it another wear. It has potential to be great but I’m thinking it boils down to skin chemistry.

I love this! This is probably the safest BDK blind buy if their is one. The root beer smell was very clear on my skin. I start getting a cannabis smell within minutes. Not sure what's up there, but it kind of comes and goes for about an hour. I assume that's the tobacco. I also smell make up as suggested. It's complex and unique compared to others out atm. Absolutely gorgeous. I chose the youthful category because of the root beer. I'm not sure I'd have liked this when young though.

I don't get soda.... I do get a subtle cherry with amber and powder vibes. It's a little woody as well. The fragrance sticks close to your skin. So if you want a Parfum that boufs, this ain't it. I like it but I wanted to love it. I thought it would give me grungy girl in a band moments.... smh

It’s not my first reach but it’s a fun fragrance for a casual social occasion. I agree with the Dr Pepper/ Root Beer assessment which is why it’s more of a fun category fragrance.

This was just OK. I like the smell of cola/root beer, so that was my reason for choosing this fragrance. On the opening I do smell the cola along with a syrupy cherry, but the pink pepper throws me off. I much prefer the cherry in TF Lost Cherry, and the root beer smell from Acqua di Parma Mandoloro di Sicilia. I was hoping this perfume would be a nice mix of the two (cherry cola/rootbeer) but this leans more towards a cherry Tobacco Vanille. If that's your vibe, you might enjoy this one, for me, I wouldn't purchase a full bottle.

On me, I get an almost candy / scented felt pens (remember those?) cherry kick in the opening.. highly synthetic.. but it dries down pretty fast to a more gently spicy bubblegum kind of sweet smell. It is a good blend, a great smell actually.. but not 'my' smell, if that makes sense. Perfect night time power scent! It may not fit with who I am, but I can absolutely understand why people love this and it will, for sure, be a fragrance library 'must have' for many. Possibly a signature. Thinking about it.. it may also make a really good layer piece with wood, stronger tobacco, chocolate.. maybe even caramel types

Sweet and smoky, Andover time it develops into something powdery and a bit sugary, like bubblegum or marshmallow or something. Nice!

I really like this one. It's warm, sweet and unique. Reminds me of a flat cherry cola in the best possible way. I wasn't sure about it the first time I wore it. But I craved it. And now I can't get enough of it. I will absolutely be buying a full bottle. I love the BDK house.

Smooth cherry, almost cola scent. Muskiness keeps it from getting too sweet. Unusual and interesting!!

Warm, Spicy deliciousness

This has turned into a full bottle purchase for me. I absolutely love this. I detect cherry and some floral notes after the initial drydown. Yes, it does smell like root beer at first. But. I love it!

Nice I really enjoy it. This might sound weird but it smells like an elevated root beer....to me. At any rate I like it allot . Just wish it had more sillage.

I can see how this fragrance may appeal to some but unfortunately that was not me. The cherry is quite prominent but the way it has been done seems quite artificial. I will give this another chance and update my review should my thoughts change.

I can't quite out my finger on what it reminded me of, but was not for me. Slightly vanilla and cherry but with a powdery feel.

Gorgeous fragrance. The dim smokiness of a jazz club with a mixture of flirtyness. Warm and bold.

Love the unique smell, it is more like a skin scent, very subtle, but I won't describe it as citrusy or floral.
