Amouage
This is a woody oriental fragrance evoking the many legends of the ancient Silk Road journey from China to Arabia. As the guiding light of the mystical journey he is the omniscient force of nature, the guardian of the Legend.
Amouage introduces a new luxurious pair, Epic, by the House's creative director Christopher Chong. This fragrant duo is inspired by the Puccini's Turandot, and tried to embody the legend of the ancient Silk Road from China to Arabia. The female fragrance, Epic Woman, represents an endeavor run by strength and ambition, while the Epic Man is a compass on the Silk Road.
Richness of these fragrances evokes the goods that were objects of trade in Asia (gold, pearls, tea, silk, jade, spices and incense), mixed with the dramatic signature of the House.
The male fragrance Epic Man is an oriental woody one, offering you pink pepper, cardamom, saffron and nutmeg at the top. The heart pulses with essences of geranium and myrrh, while the base consists of precious Aoud, patchouli, leather and incense. Amouage Epic Man was launched in 2009.

The opening was nice with the pink pepper which gave it a peppery floral opening but that only lasted about 30 minutes until the oud started heating up. I have oud ulya so I know what real oud is and the drydown is real oud but that’s its final note which is sort of boring if you already own an oud
Woody, smoky, citrus. Slightly dry sensation in the nostrils. Very clean and traditionally masculine fragrance. Might not be for all, so do not overuse. Lasts 6 hours.
Nice scent.
Very smokey, this was not what I was anticipating at all. Makes my nose twitch a bit... oddly enough the fragrance is long lasting so it punched my nose for quite a bit today. This is my first try of their fragrances and now I am hesitant to try others....
Smell just isn't for me
Too peppery
Fragrance is ok. Not something I would buy
This is my First Fragrance from Amouage and It's an Oriental Style Scent. I get a Bit of Incense some Resin and some Tobacco and some Smoke. To Me it smells the exact Same from The Opening until it Disappears. I expected More from this then I got. it smells nice but I was Hoping for a Bit More Depth.
I love the fact I can test this before committing toba full bottle. Not my signature scent but nice nonetheless. Its a sultry fresh grassy scent. I find it lasts about four hours.
Not bad in the opening but maybe I was just in the mood for something different but I gave it a full wear and didn't hate it. During the dry down it got much more smokey to me than I realized would. That part lasted a while on me. The overall sense I get from it is a lumberjack who took a shower at night then had friends over for a bonfire. Clean and dirty/smokey at simultaneously.
Not bad a little unisex and florally. And the patchouli is over powering for the first few hours
Smells like a woman. Not sure why its called epic man. Smells like strait patchouli.
At the first smell, I enjoyed the scent; however, it is more so a unisex fragrance with strong floral notes than a masculine fragrance.
