This is not my first experience with the House of Creed… as far as this one goes its scent for an older gent ( I’m 54 and it reminds me of something my dad wore ). It’s not a bad scent, but its projection is terrible as is the sillage or longevity maybe an hour at best, that’s even getting some on my collar. I’ve tried this one at Nordstrom as well and it’s the same result, so it’s not just the sample…. If you want to get hyper premium scents I’d suggest Parfums De Marly or by Kilian, they have a wide array of scents and they last…. Smell good too…. Good luck and I hope this helps D

I love the fragrance but was a bit weak so I had to use often and ran out fast

After hearing about this cologne so much I expected more from it than this. Honestly, it compares well with cool water. They both open the same. Cool water comes on a little stronger at the opening, bordering pungent, but it eventually settles down to a pleasant scent. GIT isn't as pungent and has a bit of a grassy, woody smell to it. After an hour, I can't smell it any more. It has no longevity. Honestly, I'd rather have the cool water. At least I can still smell it after an hour.

for the Creed line this scent was not what I have come to expect. It is remembrance of the cheap Aspen cologne but the scent sits closer to the skin, does not last a long as it's cheaper counterpart, but still smells amazing on my husband.

Not at all for me. Chose based on my affinity for Aventus. This was a confusing scent that seemed to trip all over itself. Muddled and listless. No real sillage to speak of. Died off almost as fast as it was sprayed. Not bold, not loud, not much of anything really. You may think differently but this was the first time I have ever executed an exchange.

Does it smell beautiful like you’re ready for an early spring day? Yes! Does it only last 2 hours after you put it on also yes! It has the Creed DNA of quality but the longevity just isn’t there on this one. Even with 10-12 sprays between skin and fabric it just don’t last. Glad I tried it but I’d never buy a full bottle.

It's a decent smell, I definitely agree with the cool water comparisons. It does seem to be a little heavier scent than cool water, you can definitely tell the difference in quality, but doesn't last as long as I'd expect it to. I honestly don't think I would buy a full size bottle of this, but it's something I will wear if I have it.

Fantastic scent that unfortunately does not persist on the skin for too long! It smells like fresh grass with fresh and floral undertones. It has a smooth dry down most likely coming from the sandalwood in the base.

This is an awesome office fragrance and has the vibes of a boss in black suit and tie attire. Longevity is good, with a leathery woody note which lingers for a long time.

Great smelling fragrance, really grew on me. It is definitely a sexy, nighttime kind of fragrance. It has a feeling that reminds me a lot of tobacco vanille from Tom Ford, kind of musky with a little bit of sweet although Irish tweed is definitely smoother. Would buy a full bottle.

This is the first time I’ve tried any Creed scent, and I am blown away by how great it smells. The scent has an old school gentleman vibe to it. It’s very clean, green, and refined. The longevity is about the same as most fragrances (4 - 5 hours) which is fine for me. Fragrances aren’t meant to last all day or they’d start off way too strong. I can say with confidence I will be switching to this cologne as my go to for special occasions.

Cary Grant, Sean Connery (as James Bond), Young Marlon Brando, Men wearing hats from the 1960’s, this is what Green Irish Tweed smells like. There is a nostalgia about it. Very masculine but never aggressive. This uniquely can be worn in any season or activity. This is one of my top 3 favorite fragrances of all time.

One of the most clean scents I've ever smelled - it's sophisticated while extremely fresh at the same time. I'd highly recommend it to anyone I encounter and love wearing it out!

Creed Green Irish Tweed was a surprise. It is a strong scent at first, but mellows very nicely and lingers with a mature and sophisticated scent. It feels both familiar and luxurious. Difficult to explain but it is one of my new favorites.

Great classic fragrance. I’m 37 years old and think this has a place in my collection. It does smell a bit strong to the wearer when first applied but it dries down fairly quickly which is surprising since I would assume it would be an overpowering scent. To be honest it smells something like my father would wear which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It hits all the right notes for its intended fragrance profile.

I would rate it 5 stars but, for me, I don't so much care for the brassy top notes when I first put it on. Its familiar to many other scents in this way as well. Once it settles in on my skin, however, I absolutely love it...but wish that its sillage and longevity was higher. Overall, if its good enough for the king of England, its good enough for me.

Wonderful classic scent

Transcendent, alluring, and sophisticated.

This is my absolute favorite cologne. My wife loves it and I get plenty of compliments. Probably why it’s as expensive as it is.

I liked this fragrance but I was staggered at the similarities to Cool Water. I was disappointed at that because people were raving about this stuff. Green Irish Tweed debuted before Cool Water so I give them credit for not cloning the cheaper, very popular scent. I would actually assume Davidoff cloned Creed on this and popularized it. The opening is 90% Cool Water, but the dry down is more complex and much classier. Not so aquatic. Overall it’s a nice fragrance but it’s not a knockout at its current niche price point. That’s why Scentbox is a convenient service to have if you’re hunting that perfect signature scent. You can purchase 8 ml of high end fragrance and by the time you get through that quantity, you know whether you want to drop a large amount of money on a niche fragrance. Who knows, as I make my way through this Cool Water Deluxe Edition, I may fall in love with the dry down. Some folks adore this stuff.

This smells so good! Personally, it smells like outside...as if you cut clean smelling grass. It's a great, different scent. The problem is one that plagues men in general...it doesn't last too long. It starts strong, and disappoints in an hour or so. For me, that's not long enough to justify how expensive it is, so I'll just get this here when it's available.

A manly, classic, pleasant cologne, and I know I'll wear this in spring although summer and fall will work great too. Pierce Brosnan wore GIT, and I think he is a perfect representation of what GIT aims to be. A classy, grown, sophisticated scent, but also not afraid to get his hands dirty with that woody peppermint. Oh, and both are Irish :). Performance isn't good on my skin as I've got Aventus on one hand and GIT on the other, and GIT lasts and projects half of what Aventus does. Both are recent batches. Getting a high-quality oil of GIT might be the better choice for me as I would like better performance. Also, to those complaining this is similar to Cool Water: It is CW that is similar to GIT, not the other way around. Green Irish Tweed is the OG of this scent DNA and is of higher quality than CW. Which is really strange because there are certain things I love about CW that GIT doesn't have...the dry-down is amazing for CW, whereas GIT just turns to a mild skin scent. Overall, very nice, classic fragrance!

Excellent fragrance from the get-go - love the initial hit & the cooldown.

If there ever was a perfect Spring scent for me, this would be it. All the herbal and flower notes on top take me to a wild green field on the first warm day of spring. So fresh and inviting. The understones of wood and spice give it a crisp snap that reminds of the cool breezes and the smell of a fresh rain with a earthy finish. Of course, being creed the quality is there. Smells rich and real, no synthetic harshness. Just pleasure to the nose. There is a reason this is a legendary scent. Plays well on my skin too.

I really like Creed's Green Irish Tweed, but I find it doesn't have staying power--at least on me it doesn't. Also, while the scent really is lovely, I don't find it to be very complex. But it's a total winner on its own terms. Maybe it's such a classically perfect fragrance that it defies any sort of rating.

I love Creed's green Irish Tweed. I've had full size bottles of this cologne a few years ago and remember it being much stronger and long-lasting. It's still pretty much the same smell as I remember, just doesn't hang around for all that long, maybe 3 ish hours for me. I know there's been reformulating at the Creed house but this one kind of Let Me Down, I still love the cologne and would wear it, but definitely not at the price tag.. I wouldn't mind spending every bit of that much if it was like the first bottle that I have had. Not worth how over 400..imo

The frangrance is solid and agreeable. All notes are not overbearing. It has a crisp, clean feel. Once the fragrance settles, I pick up a lot of citrus with some sandalwood. This is not a strong, off-the-wall, statement fragrance (just in case that it was you are looking for). It's perfect to spritz on for daily use, and I wouldn't choose for evening or romantic. Also, the longevity isn't quite what I expected, but you can smell traces by the end of the day.

Very well balanced semi-preppy cologne, let’s say an Abercrombie and Fitch model’s older and refined brother. Name is quite fitting, the smell makes me feel like I should be wearing an argyle V-neck sweater, a beret, corduroy slacks while playing croquet on a charming manicured lawn.

This fragrance is absolutely amazing. My husband and I both loved it and will be investing in it. It’s unassuming, unpretentious scent but with strength. Wearing it feels noble if that’s a thing. It has some sweetness, some green. The smell is so lovely my husband smells his arm a hundred times per day when he wears it. It’s made well.

Smells awesome as most Creed colognes do, even if its not your style. This one has a distinctive yet lighter sporty smell. Love it, but my only complaint is seems to wear off before lunch. No one seems to notice it unlike others which get compliments and inquires throughout the day. Not sure why this is ,but probably not an issue with a full size bottle.

First off great scent, initially. It however fades fast lasting less than 3 hrs. It’s supposed to be an expensive scent but I’ve gotten better results with colognes from Walmart. If the longevity and intensity was better it would be a much better cologne.

I think the fragrance is great. The biggest issue I have is that it smells so close to Cool Water that I could never justify the price of a bottle. Furthermore, it only lasts a couple hours. If this had been my first selection from SB, I would have cancelled my subscription. The Creed longevity isn’t here at all. But I do love the scent, so I give it 4/5 for that. It is my least used sample to date.

It doesn’t strike me as a rather attractive scent. It’s overly sharp in the middle note as well as too high pitch. I found it rather indigent for my taste. I would of preferred something more mellow. Would be my first choice only if I was acting the part of homeless vagabond. It personifies a virgin boy trying overzealous with his crush. It exudes inexperience. It’s only acceptable trait is it represents overwhelming level of purity.

As many others have said, smells like Cool Water but with a really heavy "green" scent, kind of like sticking your head in a lawn mower bag after cutting the lawn. That grassy, chemically scent does go away after some time and it's lightly pleasant. I would NOT buy again, way better scents out there far cheaper.

Very green and fresh fragrance and it last over 12 hours on my skin.

I love Green Irish Tweed! It smells like fresh cut grass and it's amazing for a warm spring, summer or fall day. It loses a little bit of its potency when the weather cools down and you aren't sweating as much. I wish the longevity was better on it, in my experience, the performance is much better on the clones, as they will project for up to 8 hours while the genuine article is mostly a skin scent by hour six, but it's a great smell and I love it.

I can’t say I recommend this one, not even as a subscription selection. As others have said, the grassiness is extreme. It has a much more artificial smell than most I’ve used from the Creed line. Maybe that’s what makes it so off-putting to me. To be perfectly honest, there’s zero chance I ever use the one I got with my subscription. Nonetheless, I don’t regret selecting it. Now I know.

This is going to be a hit or miss for some people. A little TOO green for me. A little TOO grassy for me. It's not up my alley of preference. This may appeal to some as I have read online, but not for all, and not blind buy worthy. Not as fresh of a fragrance as you would imagine, kind of somber.

Great scent! GIT does not let you down. I would it the opening is amazing and very aromatic. The dry down is even better. I get about 4-5 hours of string performance. Then it sits close to the skin. At the end of an 8 hour day I could still smell it on my skin. I usually test a new scent on my co-worker. This gave me a lot of compliments. Definitely worth purchasing a full bottle.

I don’t know what they sent everyone else, but whatever was sent to me was definitely not green Irish tweed. Whatever they sent to me labeled green Irish tweed was in fact very floral and feminine.

Green Irish Tweed is a 10/10 for me. It’s very sophisticated and mature smelling. I wish I had known about this one years ago, it’s definitely in my favorite top 3 fragrances.

Great scent. Had decent longevity with it. I didn't notice the smell on me but could definitely smell it on my hand after 4 hrs. Was not crazy about the initial spay. It definitely had a green smell to it. but the dry down was amazing.

It mixes great with my body chemistry

Probably my favorite fragrance I have currently i wear it about 2 days a week and just overall one of my favorites!!

Good long lasting scent!

This is one of my husband’s staples. It’s fresh and clean, but definitely unique. He always gets compliments when he wears it.

Very distinguished. Smells like flannel, forest and petrichor. Doesn’t last very long and has moderate spillage but the scent is terrific.

I wanted to try a sample of Git, because all I've ever heard was how great it is. I was throughly dissapointed. It smells alot like soap with almost a hint of clean laundry. I'm sorry but it is one of the most overrated fragrances around. The price is criminally high. If you want a similar better smell go with cool water by davidoff. Its 225$ cheaper.

A very great scent. If you don't have it GET IT. Got a lot of compliments. Smells a little better than Aventus in my opinion.

Would be my signature scent if it lasted longer. Only about 2-3 hours of decent projection, then around hours 4 through 6 it dies down to a skin scent that I can barely smell. The smell is wonderful though if you are looking for a fresh, clean, inoffensive, manly/sophisticated cologne for events that will last a few hours.

Got this one for my man, he likes it. It definitely smells very masculine and powerful. It's fresh but if you spray too much it can be overpowering. I knocked a star because it has a strange note to it that I can't quite out my finger on. Like alcohol or I'm not even sure. It's not my favorite.

Not bad but not my favorite. Smells like a fancy soap. A good fragrance for summer time I guess. Staying power isn't great on me and needed to be reapplied every 3ish hours. Would not purchase a full size but glad I got to try it out.

Clean smelling. This has the most memorable soap smell ive ever encountered. The fragrance is so full and intoxicated that within 8 hours of wearing it i bought the 8.4oz bottle As of 7/21 costco is selling 8.4 oz of green Irish tweed for 279$. 308$ after tax for 8.4oz. 3.3 oz usually $340+.

Love this scent! Very fresh and clean. It definitely evokes the essence of spring. Perfect hot weather fragrance, though I can also see this being wearable all year round. One of the best from Creed for sure. A true classic.

One of the very best fragrances I've ever experienced (along with Creed's Silver Mountain Water). It's basically like a very high quality and more natural smelling version of Cool Water with a better dry down and MUCH longer staying power. I will be purchasing a full 100ml bottle soon.

Being a fan of green scents, I had high hopes for this scent. While not disappointed, I was not exactly enamored with it either. Arid and pungent, its linear dry down may appeal to some. I continue to search....

Green Irish Tweed smells so amazing on my husband! It lasts a long time on him! Every time he wears it, I catch wiffs of it whenever he walks past me. I know people say that it smells like Cool Water (I have not smelled Cool Water in a long time, so I can not comment on that), but this scent is quite unique in my opinion. I just wish it was not so darn expensive...even though it does smell very expensive! Mmmm I just love it!!

I purchase this cologne for my brother each year for his birthday and Christmas. He cannot get over the great discount this website has on this pricey cologne. Gentleman: if you want to smell sophisticated and not like sunscreen, this is the one for you. It's a nice smell but not overbearing, and definitely does not smell like an "old guy". Great for guys in their 20s-40s.

I didn't really like the scent at first but it has really grown on me. It is now one of my favorites. It is very pricey; but it is a good scent for daytime.

Allright.. i spent $250 on a 2.5 ML bottle... sigh.. smell is great hits all the notes right.. but I think its perfect for office wear or a romantic date.. it stays really close to my skin and after 3 hours I cannot smell it.. for some reason it loses projection on my skin atleast..I wanna wear it somedays but also in the back of my mind I know its only gonna last 3 hours.. wish it would last atleast 8 hours . for the price i paid i guess i had high hopes for its logevity. Do try a sample on your skin before ya invest in this fragrance
