A handmade transistor radio housed in soft sandalwood crackles out a burst of music in the stifling summer heat of Bandra, Mumbai. The copper tubes warm the wood, releasing smooth, creamy ribbons of fragrance, the air richly inflected with local spices, fruit ripening on the trees, flowers from the market, and the musk of millions of people making their way through the sun-shot city.

Radio Bombay was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is David Seth Moltz. Top notes are woody notes and cedar. Middle notes are sandalwood, iris, boronia and peach. Base notes are ambrette musk mallow, sandalwood, ambergris, balsam fir, musk and coconut.

Gentle and natural with one sniff, vibrant and energetic with the next, Radio Bombay is an elusive new sandalwood as only D.S. & Durga would think to make it completely infused with the spirit and soul of India.

D.S. & Durga Radio Bombay also available as a one-off purchase in sample sizes of 0.27 oz or our 1 ml glass vial sample sprays.

Very woodsy but not over powering. Subtle and delicious.

The scent was very heavy on the cedar for me and the scent did not seem to last very long.

Really loved it! Super nice, woody notes. Ideal summer fragrance for me. I feel like I get a little bit of a leather smell, though this isn't actually one of the notes.

Very masculine. Overpowering and peppery. Very strong Indian scent pallet...which I normally like. Just not for me.

I was excited to try this based on the notes, particularly a non beachy coconut. However this scent profile isn’t for me. I get a slight coconut, but mostly woddy and a vegetal note. Not green, but an earthy, heavy vegetable green. It was moderate in longevity and silage. It wasn’t a scrubber, just not my taste.

I enjoy the woodsy scent but this one leans too far to the masculine side for me. I don't hate it but it definitely isn't my go to.

I'm not sure if it is expired or what but It honestly smells like a freshly painted room. I tried it several days and every time it smells like paint.

This scent is VERY heavy on the woodsy notes. I am a fan of woodsy undertones, but the scent was way too powerful for me and did give me a bit of a headache when I put it on. To me, it would work better on a man. The scent is lasting on clothing. I sat under some blankets after spraying the scent on me, it rubbed off on the blanket, and I could smell it there the next day.

A little manly, but so good. Woodsy. Spicy. I would have given a 5 but it doesn’t last super long but I am enjoying it for a nice fall scent.

Smells woody and green with slight spice. It is strong but dries down fairly quickly leaving a scent you can only smell when close for 3-4 hours. Leans masculine, a true unisex perfume. I love the smell, but enjoy the fresh green grass of cowboy grass more than this fragrance.

smells great reminds me of paul smith london but a bit spicier. hints of coconut. only drawback is lack of longevity. its really strong at first and good for going out to the club or something but you have to reapply if you want the scent to project a bit

It would have been a five star but it doesn't last long enough. Many of the other reviews written by women mentioned that it was very masculine. Meh, maybe but to me it was very leathery, my husband likes fresh, airy, crisp for himself this is NOT it. I likes it but I bowmakers and it is very similar and lasts longer. I'm not going to buy it

Was not a fan of this fragrance it was extremely strong, masculine and woody. It did not mix well with my body chemistry it was way too early and woody for my liking. Definitely not a unisex I think it's more masculine then anything. Had to send it back it was not my cup of tea.

This is a very intense, strong type of fragrance. The sandalwood and the cedarwood are very prominent. I would call it overall more woody than oriental. It almost smells exactly like a wood polish or something. The coconut is there and you can tell but it's not a sweet type of coconut. In fact there's nothing even mildly sweet or warm about this scent at all. It's completely different than what I was expecting. I wouldn't consider this a woman's fragrance or even unisex really. It's definitely a winter or autumn type scent. It kind of smells like a campfire.

VERY STRONG. But me personally, I really liked it. May have to keep the bottle on you, because it doesn't last longer than an hour or so, but it's nice. A very SPICEY bold fragrance

Eh.. I tried this one mostly out of curiosity and it's definitely a statement fragrance.. but I'm not sure it's the statement for ME. I really don't know how to describe the scent profile, other than HOLY SANDALWOOD. Sandalwood, leather, and hints of greenery is all I get from it. Smells kinda decent on my partner, but he feels it's too feminine for him.

Personally too strong and masculine for my taste. It smells like incense inside a church and settles like bug spray.

Fantastic scent. I am a big fan of D.S. & Durga. I smelled this fragrance and wanted to buy a bottle on the spot. Its earthy and natural with the unusual note of copper that make it truly special. BUT, when I decided to wear it I realized there is zero longevity. It dies within 25 minutes, and thats even after I apply 6 sprays. Pretty disappointing, I thought I found my new scent!

It's a bite strong rite out the bottle. It hits your nose and immediately my nose started tingling. Not bad though.

This is an incredibly unusual scent. The scent is clean and sharp, with a small touch of vanilla that adds a touch of mellowness. There is also a slight sweetness that’s more apparent in the dry down. While I’m not completely sold on the fragrance for me, I imagined this inn my husband and would love this on him.

This fragrance is so unusual and unlike anything I've ever smelled. On initial spray, to my nose it smells like bug spray. It dries down to this really unique gunpowder-y, clean, almost floral smell on my skin. Sadly it's very weak, I'd call it more of a skin scent. I find myself refreshing it all day long because I love it that much, its super pleasant and not cloying in the least. I really wish it was stronger but I'm considering buying it because of how unique and lovely it smells. Definitely a keeper for my fall/winter collection.

Absolutely love this scent. It smells fantastic on both my husband and me. It is mostly sandalwood, though it does have hints of the coconut. It is warm and soft-I would say great for Summer, Fall and Winter! It reminds me of MAISON LOUIS MARIE No.04 Bois de Balincourt. Great choice for sandalwood lovers and in my mind, totally unisex.

I love this scent. The longevity doesn't seem to be very long but it smells so amazing---an androgynous scent that is totally original.
