Has a more incense smell than woodsy.

The perfume is good, it has got a sweet vanilla smell. Though, I am not able to smell the tobacco notes. The longevity is good but the sillage is low. God buy

This is a very strong fragrance, and the tobacco stands out as the strongest element. The longevity, though, is severely lacking so I'm only giving it 4 stars. If they could slightly reduce the silage and increase the longevity, this would be a perfect scent.

Herod is one of the best fragrances I’ve ever owned. It boasts extreme longevity and a refined, modern scent. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and sophisticated fragrance. However, for me, it still doesn’t surpass Haltane.

My son loved it . At first I wasn’t sure the fragrance was too strong but we waited a couple of days . Then , he used it and I asked him which one are you wearing ? It was clean and sweet . I really liked it and my son too , we will wait a couple if they’d when they arrive for everything to settle z it makes a difference .

Settles into something wonderful...love the sweet musky smell after it lies on the skin for a while.

My initial impression was somewhat mixed. The first spray left me a bit disappointed, as the scent seemed quite weak, despite its pleasant aroma. However, I noticed that as the fragrance settled on my skin, particularly in warmer areas, it began to develop and project more effectively. After about an hour, I was completely won over. Herod reveals a rich, inviting scent that feels perfectly suited for the autumn season. While it’s not a direct match, I could sense some similarities to Prada Black, making it a great option for fans of that fragrance. Overall, while I wasn’t initially blown away, Herod ultimately proved to be a very nice fragrance that I would recommend, especially for those who enjoy deeper, warmer scents.

This is a beautifully blended fragrance and right up my alley. It's a little lighter than I'd expected and didn't perform as well as some others I have, but I much prefer something being too light than too strong. I'll enjoy my decant, but am not likely to add a full bottle to my collection.

Another banger from PDM. Very manly. Cherry pipe tobacco with ashy tobacco and vanilla. Smells like a lot of the older casinos in Vegas, but in a good way. A must-have.

So basically this is spicebomb but better and inferior to tobacco vanille from tom ford. if you like both then youll like this one if you want something stronger than spicebomb but nto as strong as tobacco vanille

Was so excited to get this, it came as promised, it’s still winter so I was excited to wear it… lotion up, then Sprayed it on.. beautiful scent, but was Disappointed, I barely smelled it on me, seemed weak to me

This smells fantastic. I mostly smell tobacco, vanilla, and maybe a little lavender in the opening. There also seems to be some kinda musky or incense smell in the dry down. This was my first tobacco scent and I had a lukewarm reception, initially. It has really grown on me, though, and I love it now. It lasts a long time (8+ hours) and projects more than any other cologne I have. Perfect fall or winter scent. I imagine sitting around a fireplace in a robe with a nice cognac, when I smell this.

Awesome spicy tobacco vanilla scent that's great for special occasions during Fall or Winter evenings. Has moderate projection and silage and can often still smell on clothes the next morning.

Definitely for fall and winter. The cinnamon and tobacco in this one come through and dry down into a lovely scent. Like all PDM's it's got great projection and longevity. Definitely a more refined fragrance.

Perfect Tobacco Fragrance

My family absolutely adored this fragrance; I received compliments left and right. Herod is characterized by a rich, warm, and sweet tobacco scent with notes of vanilla and spices. It lasts literally all day - I highly recommend it.

Smells good but overpowered by tobacco

Love parfumes de Marly. Thus secent last and it smells great. Parfumes De Marley is starting to be my go to if I want good long lasting cologne.

Used this for a late spring date night (~72*F) and my husband couldn't stop smelling me(female). He ended up using it himself before we left and I couldn't stop smelling it on him! Definitely a masculine scent but that it what I prefer to wear with my skin chemistry. On nice cool evenings it's wearable along with cool days. During hot weather it can be cloying. A definite must have if you like woody, tobacco, with a little sweetness fragrances. A compliment getter that will bring anyone closer.

I love this scent. I hate that I do given the full bottle price, but it's such a brilliant mix of spicy wood notes that I love and always gets compliments. It opens strong with a spicy floral note, and mellows out with that same spice but with a fantastic sweet wood scent that smells so mature and luxurious. I loved it from the first spray. It's pretty strong you don't want to overload this one, in saying that it doesn't smack you in the face.. it's gentle and seductive. Lasts a decently long time as well.. I would say all evening for sure at least 6 hours. This is a must own for all men. The projection isnt to strong, those within 6 feet will start to notice and be drawn closer. It gets compliments every time. Can't say anything bad about it other than how much it costs for a full bottle.

I can’t believe how good this smells. It starts off strong with a Cherry incense fragrance then it settles down to a cinnamon vanilla woodsy fragrance which I love. It’s last at least 7 hours on my skin.

Extremely elegant, warm, spicy and sexy but it can be intoxicating if work on close places or if you don’t like Woody fragrances. I apply one or two sprays in the office and that’s more than enough. Not for everyone as suits better a mature person. The tabaco and vanilla is such a great combo.

The dry down of this is fire. Strong and sweet at first. Then a very comforting scent follows. A masculine secure fragrance. I’m waiting on Layton to compare the two.

If you are younger than 26, don’t get this. It smells like what a jazz professor’s apartment would smell like. It smells exactly like a hippie incense store lol. I’m sure if I were older I think I’d like it more, but it just wasn’t for me.

I get a cinnamon, tobacco and vanilla fragrance. Best suited for 25 and above in the cooler weather. It's almost perfect for me, but there is something that's off putting to my nose. Not sure if it's the cypriol oil or osmanthus but keeps it from being bottle worthy for me.

Notes of tobacco were present with vanilla spice. I would liken it to Givenchy Pi. Notes too similar. Therefore a lower rating. Familiar scent that does not stand out from others.

Definitely my new favorite tobacco fragrance aside from Tobacco Vanille. Very smooth and subtly sweet dry-down. The longevity was pretty average...at most 6 hours until it became a skin scent. Definitely blind buy worthy!

I get a spice top note, then a sweet tobacco. The scent stays with you a long time and you know you're wearing it.

You will smell like a boss with this! Sweet tobacco and smooth vanilla. Warm, cozy and intimate. Last 6-8 hours and soft to moderate projection. Wear this to the cigar lounge, cocktail party or night out. Sophisticated, classy and sexy! Not the most versatile but you will smell the best in the room when you put it on for those special occasions. I plan to purchase a full bottle.

It's a solid fragrance. If you like Spice bomb extreme, you'll really like Herod. I'm not in love with it as a lot of other people, but I get the appeal. I still prefer Layton, Haltane and Carlisle from PDM.

If you like vanilla tobacco scents you will like this, however keep in mind those aren't the only notes, that being said the initial spray might have you feeling mislead, but the dry down leads to a warm spicy almost vanilla tobacco scent, i only wish it was heavier on the tobacco

Great smell, strong and long lasting

Absolutely love at first smell with this!! My new favorite frag. My luck I'd fall in love with such a pricey one. :( got a compliment from a lovely lady after wearing it the first time a couple hours into it. This stuff right here is so smooth and it just exudes quality. I've tried Layton, Greenley, and this from pdm and I thought Layton was something special. Don't get me wrong it's delightful but for me personally Herod is king dingaling!!

Buy now and think later. The best tobacco gourmand perfume. Very beautiful fragrance that makes you special.

For the money to purchase, I wouldn't say it's earth shattering. However, it is certainly quality and smells nice without being overly sweet. I'm glad I have a decant now. It will be a nice addition.

Wasnt sure about this one at first. I got a boutique shop smell like the shop has cinnamon vanilla air freshener or candles or something. After wearing this one though I found it very pleasent! I dont think this is an everyday smell but I can see me wearing this one a little bit layered casual going out, and The dry down is really wear the magic is! It smells sexy and addicting the more it dries down. Its a nice one to have for the fall time.

Pretty disappointed. Projection smells like Vaseline, then when the dry down hits you get the tobacco, but by then its barely a skin scent.

This smells like Thanksgiving to me. It is the perfect blend of warn cinnamon vanilla with a woody base. It lasts for hours and projects amazingly well. I highly recommend. Parfum De Marly is amazing.

Amazing tobacco fragrance. This is probably the best one that I have smelled to date. Projection is good for about 2 hours and it will fill up a room with this sweet and spicy beautiful tobacco vanilla blend. The first day that I wore it, I garnered a bunch of compliments. I may have to buy a full bottle of this once I use my sample up.

Wow! Starts of great and just gets better. This is definitely one of my favorites. It's a deep scent with a lot going on but it all just mixes together to become something greater than it's parts. Starting off you get vanilla, and then spices, and then you're hit with this smokey tobacco that just ties it all together so well. This is a very masculine scent. It's VERY sexy and an excellent choice for intimate settings. This will best serve you in the evening, and in colder climates/seasons. The longevity is superb. As it mellows the deeper and more complex it smells.

Interesting smell once I sprayed on paper and skin. Smelled really similar to Vaseline. Idk what it was but that’s what I instantly thought of. Once it dried down, it was quite nice but I was expecting more. I’ll give it a 3 rating for now, hopefully once it settles for a bit, it’ll smell better when I re spray in a couple of days.

Herod is simply a stunner. One of my favorite tobacco fragrances. Perfect for the cooler weather of Fall and Winter. Pricey, but worth it.

Truly a stand out unique scent. This one gets a lot of notices and compliments.

WARNING….after trying this bottle of juice, it will ruin all the other tobacco scents out there. It’s that good! The other will become synthetic and pale in comparison. Lasts forever, great projection, hefty price tag warrants a try before buying (its bold!). If you haven’t tried this yet, what are you waiting for?! It should be tops on your list:)

Very Unique Fragrance, absolutely made for the winter with the mix of woody and spicyness it brings to the table. Great longevity but average silage, in my opinion it’s a definite must try if you enjoy fragrances like spicebomb.

A fair fragrance, I appreciate how dry it is for a warm and spicy scent. But it doesn’t work for me. I usually like pepper a lot but the amount in the opening makes it smell a bit dirty almost. I prefer Mancera Red Tobacco over all. Still I’m sure this works very well for some men.

Nice Fragrance

This is one of the best fragrances I have ever tried. It is sexy, sweet, a little spicy from the cinnamon, and dries into some beautiful woody and vanilla type smells. This is a must try! Perfect for an evening out with your wife or serious girlfriend. This isn't for the man who just goes around playing woman. This is for a mature, well-dressed, and good man who knows who he is and how to treat his girl right. A respectful yet sexy scent, for an equally sexy and respectful gentleman.

A nice scent. I sprayed some on and immediately liked it. Reminds me of warm vanilla pipe tobacco and has a scent reminiscent of Armani Code. I didn't pick up too much on a baby powder scent that my lady friend said turned her off on it but I suppose there is a SLIGHT top note of that but I hate baby powder fragrances and it doesn't put me off so I think she may just be part bloodhound.

Very masculine fragrance. The tobacco is really noticeable with a nice vanilla scent. I’m not use to tobacco in my fragrances so it’s dominant for me but this is subtle and actually reminds me of my church with incense. Truly a great fragrance house and never disappointed with their quality and another complement beast!

Excellent scent. Long-lasting

Fantastic fragrance! This is one of my favorites. The tobacco is perfectly balanced with the smokiness of incense. I wasn't sure if I would like tobacco scents but decided to try this one and after a couple of uses, I purchased a full bottle. GF really loves it and I've had complements about it from others as well. Highly recommend.

Frustrated. This is not the Herod that I’ve bought last year from other perfumery. It resembled only 50% of the scent and its performance. I don’t know. Maybe its because of newer batch. When i tested and sprayed on my skin, the initial blast was as if already dry down compare to the previous herod that i’ve owned. And it lasted only 3-4hrs. The one that i’ve owned last year was long lasting tobacco scent, and the dry down was sweet which is perfect for fall and winter season. I returned this fragrance and exchange to another fragrance.

Dries down to an amazing tobacco scent!

This was too sweet for me and my body chemistry. That being said it smells amazing on my wife. My star rating is on the fragrance and not if it works for me or not. It is a sweet but complex fragrance. It is honestly 3 scents in one. When first applied it smells very sweet almost like caramel cinnamon candy. As it dries you get hints of cedar, pine and woody notes as the sweet subsides you get a hint of tobacco. The duration depends on your chemistry, for me it was 4 hours and for my wife its closer to 8.

If you like spicy fragrances then this one is for you. It settles into a warm tobacco scent that is very very pleasing. There are a lot of tobacco forward fragrances on the market ,but this one really does project and settle well. You could wear it all year round, but I prefer this one during the cooler months because it really does have a warmness to it. This is definitely one of my favorite Marly scents.

I love this one. I have Tobacco Vanille and some imitations, but there's an extra sharpness in the initial blast of Herod that just smells so much better. It's an amazing smell and I love it. My wife and daughter also love it. My daughter thinks it smells like the holidays and she's a huge fan.

This is by far one of the greatest fragrances I have ever had the pleasure of having. I highly recommend anyone who is curious about it to give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Herod and Pegasus were my first from PDM. Both are awesome. Herod has the tobacco, the vanilla, the patchouli. As a mid 30s male I absolutely love this scent. The smell itself emits a sense of sophistication and maturity but not in a " old man" fashion. Definitely in my mix for good now.

This is now in my rotation, it is definitely a higher quality product worth the price of the premium subscription alone.

Similar to Tom Ford tobacco vanille but Herod has a stronger tobacco smell. Me and my wife both love it. Will more than likely be buying a full bottle.
