Strong scent. Not for me. I can appreciate the scent, but too much tobacco in it for me. I had a headache all day until I was able to get home and wash it off.

Smells very medicinal on me. I'm afraid this just isn't going to work with my chemistry. Would suggest a try before you buy.

This scent is definitely unique. At first it seems like it will be overwhelmingly musky; however after a few minutes it settles in a way that’s more luring than like a shot at a night club. Definitely for someone that’s looking for a more distinguished scent for sure.

Very masculine!!! I’m A woman but do tend to lean towards masculine scents however. It has a note that is almost like gasoline (which sounds weird but I don’t hate it!!) it does down to a warm spicy slightly more sweet smell. It’s a very sexy manly scent. There’s a leather note I pick up too. Think hot, sexy, tough, rough-around-the-edges MAN

I really like this one. It reminds me of Carlisle , but not as sweet on the dry down. Definitely can smell the tobacco more and it gets you a compliment or two. If you like tobacco scents in general, this is a good one to have in rotation… I’m adding it to my collection.

Red tobacco is very unique. It's like Carlisle, but stripped down, without the apple and creaminess. Just green tobacco leaf. Some will be repulsed by the bug spray-eque note, but refined noses will know what they're smelling. Once it dries down, it's quite something. But I'd still take Carlisle over this.

I originally ordered this to get out of my comfort zone and did not read the reviews. I was scared to try it after reading them, but I'm happy I picked this one. It is true that it's very strong upon spraying, but I found that rubbing it in and waiting a few minutes really gives it a chance to stretch its legs. It's smokey, not remotely close to cigarette smell but more of a tobacco-leaf-drying-in-the-sun type of smell. There's an amber or vanilla or something sweet undertone that creates a very neutral and balanced smell. My friend is obsessed with it, and I got a fair bit of compliments. I'm happy I went for something I wouldn't usually pick.

It's a bit intense at first but it starts to smell great once it settles. It has a musky strong sent that last all day. I will definitely be getting this again

This cologne is INSANELY strong. My wife started having a coughing fit (I only spritzed once). It was so strong, I couldn't even wash it off. I'm sure this would be great for others, but not for me.

This Tobacco red, is something else, it's SUPER strong, more then one spray will decease you lol(and I love strong scents). Once it calms down its much better and more easy to handle. You can def smell the tobacco, very strong tobacco scent. This Def leans more masculine imo. But I love smelling it on my man. If you are sensitive to scent, stay far, far, far away from this one.

Good stuff

To me this isn’t a good as the hype. It’s ok smelling, but the tobacco is too rugged and there’s too much woodiness when it dries down. It also gets dank on the dry down. It smells nice in the air with the Apple and tobacco combo, but it’s not amazing. Or maybe I’ll come back to it later. I also see what people mean with the opening about how weird it smells and I agree that you should not judge this fragrance until it settles, but I was still underwhelmed with how this smelled. This does smell similar to Mystery Tobacco and Carlisle but Carlisle is a little different. However, I prefer Carlisle to them both. I think the performance is good and there’s no issues there, but since I have Carlisle I don’t think I’ll really be looking to have this any time soon.

Reminds me of a pipe tobacco type smell but in a good way. Lasts and lasts on my skin.

Definitely has the "Mancera DNA" and reminds me a lot of a leather version of Vanilla Oud. This is a strong one! Dry down was a little powdery but I still love her. Unisex leaning masculine. Great longevity & sillage.

Long lasting, strong, warm and spicy with a hint of tobacco but not too much; and I catch a slight sweet vanilla note too. Perfect for both men and women - I've loved wearing this through November now that the evenings are drawing in. Gives woolly jumpers and autumn nights vibes.

Um wow. I have heard about the opening to this scent, but had never smelled it myself until I got it. This stuff is stout. It roundhouse kicks you in the face. But in a good way. Very tobacco. Much red. Don't overdo it.

A rich, soft, velvety pipe-tobacco-based fragrance; dries down very similarly to Montale's Blue Amber. The vanilla and amber accord prevailing for hours. It was pleasing all the way through from start to finish, with no sharp edges or gimmicky notes. If I was looking for a gorgeous oriental tobacco I would buy this.

The opening is indeed overwhelming, but it calms down into something quite delicious smelling. It's a very sweet smelling tobacco smell - I personally find it much more feminine than masculine. Good performance as well.

WAY too intense. It smells good for about 20 minutes but then that first layer fades and all you are left with is an angry old man that won't die. It's truly aggressive and unnecessarily rude, to be honest. I could smell it in my orbit for days.

Too Feminine. Nice scent.

When I first put this on I thought it was God awful, but as it mellowed I became addicted to the smell. It is a very distinct scent and it gets much better as it "ages". The fragrance lasted several hours on me but faded from the smack in your face smell it gave when it first went on to a subtle scent.

I do like this scent. It stays on forever. It is warm and spicy, and like others have said, definitely a fall and winter perfume. I'm giving it three stars because I was excited about the description of notes, which the perfume does not fully deliver. I have a sensitive and finely tuned sense of smell and really enjoy complex scents. This scent is heavy patchouli and tobacco with heavy vanilla and the faintest faintest hint of musk. As a person who tries to stay away from heavy vanilla I was excited that other notes were present and hoped they would Prevail. They did not. Vanilla is the only floral / sweet tone in the fragrance. Though a little disappointed I still enjoy the scent and will wear it on days that I need a personal power boost and extra confidence going into proverbial battle.

Definitely a strong fragrance that has great longevity and a good sillage, but I'm not a fan of the smell. To me it comes a cross quite sweet with an apple nutty thing going on and nothing comes across to cut that.

You can’t go wrong with this cologne, you can’t compare it to candles, or car scents or fake tobacco products, it smells like genuine tobacco product, it’s long lasting, strong, masculine, got great reviews. Got it in the winter season, projected far and wide 6 sprays is enough to last you the whole day and night. It’s sexy, it’s a bad boy, super confident person, cool guy, fearless guy with romantic charm type of cologne. Give it a try, if you are seasoned in parfum products if you aren’t well go to your nearest fragrance store and see if it’s even worth your spending. But in my opinion it’s great.

I REALLY wanted to like this one because I usually like Tobacco scent in candle form but unfortunately this one was a miss. It smells very minty and musky when it first goes on and then settles to a bit of a warmer scent but the muskiness of it was too much. This is a unisex one but my fiancé also agreed it was too strong and gave him a headache :(

I think this is a great scent for a man or someone who enjoys more masculine scents. I spread it on a blanket and I could still smell it for a few days. It was too masculine for me but I gave it a friend that does enjoy it. The tobacco is very strong.

This perfume was AWFUL. It was weird though. The inital spray had this strange medicinal, almost Vicks-like smell beneath it. However after it faded a bit I was left with a weirdly pleasant and soft musk scent. However, the fade takes way too long to achieve this level of scent and as such I do not believe I will be trying this one again.

Didn't think I was going to like this one as much as I did that initial spray put me off it for a second then the dry down hit and it was cinnamon tobacco incense with a nice splash of sweetness really like it definitely full bottle worthy and the longevity is pretty good I have 8+ hours with it on and still smell it.

My husband likes it for date nights out and I'll spritz it in my hair to lair with some softer scents at work or day to day. Def. worth the wait if your on the list!

I agree that this scent is super overwhelming and it hardly mellows for my husband through the day. It's so overwhelmed with a certain sweet scent that you can hardly pull anything else from it. I will say the best way to apply it is after the shower, this is the only way I was able to get passed the initial scent and really smell it for what it was. 5 out of 5 if that scent were better balanced like that always, but not so great just adding it before work.

Quirky and unexpected fragrance for a perfume. The sent of tobacco is very present and it does have an amber, incense smoky quality to it. This perfume is the exact reason why I joined this subscription service, I would have never tried it otherwise and now I have a scent that no one else will have. Love it, gonna buy it. I do agree that it would be better for fall, sweaters, fires, hot tea, mittens come to mind.

The scent is growing in me. It did come off a little strong at first, but after wearing it for a few hours I started to like it. Smells more like fall than spring to me though.

This was too strong, and smelled abrasive and poisonous. I found that if I sprayed a q-tip with it, and dabbed the q-tip on my wrist very lightly, and waited quite awhile, the fragrance wasn't unpleasant. But I would rather have a perfume i love the smell of, so I returned it.

Literally smells like the color red and add sweetness to tobacco and you got this fragrance. Didn't like it really. Gonna try it again in the winter and hope to see if it changes it the way it projects

It is indeed long-lasting, you if you were to buy full-size, you will get all of your money's worth on this one. One or two sprays will last you all day long and well into the evening.

Like other reviews say, it smells like something a rich older lady would wear. When I sprayed it on my wrist, it smelled like wood varnish for about an hour before the scent calmed down a little, but the smell stayed all night from one small spray. I later sprayed a piece of cloth once to see if the scent was better on clothing than myself. It's strong. I smelled it all night and even the next morning I smell it lightly when walking into my room. It smells somewhere between wood and tobacco to me. A very mature scent. It's not something I would ever wear again, but I wouldn't say it's a terrible perfume.

Fantastic fragrance! I love it from start to finish. I also like the fact that it performs well. This is definitely signature scent worthy. I was so disappointed that it wasn't on my choice list anymore. I would have chose it for every month.

A little too sweet. Once you get past the sweetness it's not bad. Also it's very strong and fills the room. Need to apply as little as possible. Not my favorite. Should be geared more towards men.

I really wanted to love this. The description is everything I have been looking for, but it is too much. I took a showers and still couldn't wash it off for two days. If you want something that lasts, this is for you. If you want something pleasant smelling, keep looking.

Not a fragrance I would want to smell all day

I am a woman and I like unique spicy fragrances. This is a unisex fragrance. Personally I feel it is better suited for a man rather than a woman. I like it Bu it takes one spray down my blouse and it will last all day. My husband loves it. It starts out with a strong fragrance of tobacco that is slightly sweet (I usually do jot like sweet fragrances) but this is not bad. What is amazing is how it settles on you so wait for it. It becomes spicy and warm. Completely different then when you first spray it on. Very lovely fragrance. Noticeable and tasteful. This will last and does not take a lot! Intended for those who appreciate a heavy spicy fragrance with warmth.

I don't know how to put this. But if I was marrying an older woman for money, I would expect her to wear this. Did not like it. 80 percent of my children did not like it as well

LOVE THIS! I've ordered it a couple of times because it is scents I love! My sons think it's too strong and I know it is strong but that's one of the reasons I love it so much. I've heard it called a patchouli smell and that is close but it's, it's own smell!! The aroma is spot on and it will be one of my favs for awhile to come!

I really wanted to love this one! I usually like tobacco and woody scents, but this one is just too much. I can't find the fruity notes at all. Oud and jasmin are two of my favorites also, but the patchouli completely overwhelms them. I tried several times, and it does settle down pretty well, but leaves only the tobacco and patchouli behind on me.

It makes yup smell like you work they in a cigar shop. I think it's disgusting.

Holy tobacco!!! Smells great, long lasting...this is one of those that may be a personal favorite, but nobody around me likes it. You wear a fragrance for you, but at some point others have to like it too. Great 6 ft COVID fragrance!!!

More masculine, and if you’re familiar with Nasamatto scents and love them, you’ll love this. I’m a female and love wearing this. I was a bit overpowered by the strength but it dies down into an amazing balanced scent.

Very, very strong scent of tobacco initially, but mellows out into a smooth, warm, long lasting fragrance. One of the only ones I've tried that I can still smell on myself at the end of the day. I wasn't so sure about the scent on first impression, but I love the way it interacts with my body chemistry.

Wow! This fragrance packs a punch, sillage and longevity is well over 8 hours. Two sprays maximum is all you need. Initial spray it smells sweet and spicy with notes cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron and some fruit notes, as it dry down it get warm and creamy with the sweet and spicy notes. Very unisex fragrance, it will perform different on either sex.

Testing projects for days and it is very strong

This smell reminds me of my Grandpa's pipe tobacco. It brings back great memories I have of him. This smell is heavy at first then settles in for a subtle long-lasting smell.

The description sounds like it is right up my alley and I was very excited to receive this fragrance. I could not have been more disappointed - this smells like someone smoked a pipe while drinking cherry cough syrup. It is disgusting. I sprayed it into the air and some got on me and I keep smelling it and it's making me gag. Not only does it smell foul but it's *extremely* strong to boot.

Tobacco smell was WAY too strong for my preference. Gifted it to a friends who enjoys that smell and she loves it.

Deep and woodsy with the lingering warmth of pipe tobacco and bourbon. I love this smell. It is strong initially but it warms as it dries and stays with me all day. Sprays on STRONG. One spritz feels like too much, feels difficult to breathe for the first 20 minutes, but it does settle decently. The scent has a dominant energy to it. A bit sharp on the tobbaco notes, with an equally sharp focus on the spice. Whether it be good or bad Is highly subjective, so try this one if you're feeling adventurous. Tobacco is one of my favorite candle scents so when I came across Red Tobacco, I wanted to give it a try. And I'm super pleased, I did.

Begins with a really sharp acrid tobacco smell that lasts a couple of hours. That wasn't my favorite. But it mellows into something quite warm and sumptuous. Two days later I could still smell it on my jacket.

I don't normally review because I don't know much about fragrance but Imma make an exception here. It takes a little to settle down to be sure once it does I feel like its for a specific women. If you're an umbrella drink vs a bourbon on the rocks... this might not be for you. This women bests you in fantasy football, can throw a curve ball and doesn't need you to carry her load. She commands attention in a room and isn't scared of a little karaoke or skin. This isn't for wall flowers lol it will get you noticed. Best I got lol.

I absolutely love it and will be purchasing more! It stays on all day which is a great benefit.

As a 21y/o Female who was looking for a fragrance that was ‘dark’ and less feminine, this hit the mark. I will warn you, when you first spritz it on you in the morning, it’s a little overpowering. But I promise it will level out and stick with you all day.

Explosive opening lasts about 1-2 hours then it settles down into a nice, sweet tobacco fragrance. This is definitely a spray-in-advance fragrance. About an hour or so before an event is when you need to spray this, and you will definitely get noticed as the projection is immense. And the smell on fabric lasts a very long time, even existing after a wash. If you love tobacco fragrances, then I would definitely sample this one first before buying.

Oud and cinnamon give it real punch and complexity, while the combination of tobacco, vanilla, and amber gives it a creamy base which softens the spice and makes this a truly unique unisex selection. You wear this and it's pretty much instant sophistication..Smells like an exclusive New York lounge, if that makes any sense lol ..Late Fall or early Winter scent. I have to imagine sniffing this scent on some luxe fabrics...full bottle worthy.

First thought was this is strong. Then it reminded me of one of my husband's colognes. You definately know you are wearing it. It stays with you and whatever clothing you happen to be wearing. I like the scent, just wish it wasn't so strong.

The first word that comes to mind with Red Tobacco is strong! This is not a delicate fragrance that lightly lingers--instead, it is a deep warm bold fragrance that doesn't let you forget you're wearing it! On me, the vanilla, oud and sandalwood really stand out, with a slightly sharper note of tobacco that eventually fades. The cinnamon note lingers, but I don't smell the white pear and green apple as they seem to disappear into the heavier notes. I very much like it for an occasional evening fall/winter fragrance, but not something I'd wear everyday.

Its not a love or hate for me. When you first spray it its lovely the stages of the dry down is off putting but once you get through it and hour later it smells wonderful again.

Definitely more of a masculine scent. Reminds me of a swisher sweet. This is what I would guess Ron Burgundy smells like.

My first instinct was this is disgusting. I was going to send it back because I hated it. I decided to give it another try and I loved it. This fragrance changes throughout the day, from woodsy to floral. It lasts all day long and I get so many compliments. I would love to buy a bottle, but if course it's very expensive. Now I see why.

It's a beautiful, strong woody smell. I love the tobacco aspect of it. It is definitely unisex with a lean towards masculine. I prefer something just a tish softer and more feminine.

Smokey, strong, long-lasting.

I really like this fragrance, one of my favorites from Scentbox so far. It's spicy and rich, it reminds me of Spice Bomb (male fragrance) and I love how that smells on my husband. This is one of the few fragrances I have that I still smell on my clothes the next day. I like that sort of thing because my husband's clothes always smell like him. It's also funny to me how in every. single. fragrance review people say it smells like old lady or grandma. If your Grandma smells like this, she is doing something right.

In my opinion, this scent is very similar to Tobacco Vannile by Tom Ford. The difference is I would say that this is more bold and has strong masculine scent and not much of the sweet vanilla undertone from Tobacco Vannille. This is a very long lasting scent. It goes on bold with a smoky/tobacco-like smooth amber scent (smells like Cashmere sort of) and then a soft warm scent with a slight smoky scent. This scent is warm, date night in the fall, and will be added to my top 10.

I am reluctant to rate fragrances as scent is such a personal and subjective experience. This was far too smokey and masculine for me. I love woodsy scents and am not afraid of strong fragrance but this felt a bit too one-note for me. Even after scrubbing it off my arm, I could smell it the next day-so great staying power. If you love it that is a bonus.

This is a very special fragrance that to me is more masculine than feminine (which I love), the opening is extremely strong and reminds me of a leather shop and wet tobacco leaves. However, wait for it, because the real magic happens in the dry down after a couple of hours. I love this same smelling perfume as a Tom ford tobacco vanilla fragrance for the simplicity of it and those two smells it has . I bought this perfume in hopes that it to was an amazing marriage of scents and I think it’s nice itself . I don’t like it as much and can come across heavy at first but settles in wonderfully. I like it but it’s a little heavy and it’ll take some wearing it to get used to it .

I love this scent. It is great if you are going to be out awhile. 1-2 sprays is all you need because it has a strong musky smell at first. The scent smooths out a bit and it last a long time. I mean looong time!

It's a good fragrance but if you use too much the smell is very strong and somewhat unpleasant. What I do is spray very little on my hand and rub it across my shirt. The smell is more on the spice side, something similar to a pumpkin spice type of smell. Overall, it is a good fragrance it just has its little twist and that's why I think there is a decent amount of bad reviews but don't be discouraged to get this product, and again make sure to use small amounts of it.

It lasts a looooong time and a little goes a long way. The smell reminds me a little of a black and mild, which can be a good or bad thing. I won’t get this fragrance again.

Initially I thought it was horrible and instead of spraying myself I sprayed the box later that day I moved the box and it mellowed to a really smooth rich scent so I tried the old spray it in the air an walk through it PERFECT!!!! It is strong enough to last literally all day and night but not too much to be overpowering. It’s all in how much or little you want to smell it. I came home last night took off my hoodie and I could still smell it and it’s amazing!

Lovely scent! Yes, it is strong, but after a while of wearing, it milds out. And I love that the smell lasts a long time, as opposed to other expensive perfumes that last very little. I love it. Already got multiple compliments on it.

Way to strong absolutely could live without this sent

I thought some of the other perfumes were strong until I tried this one. It is long lasting! Now, as far as it being universal on the scent, I would definitely describe this as more masculine. It is a warmer scent, which puts me out of my usual comfort zone for scents. For that reason is why I like it, I gave it 4 stars, because it is in truth more masculine. It is warm, rich, and perfect for fall/winter. You do not need more than one spritz of this, I feel like it even survived my workout plus shower after. If you go for more floral/fruity scents you may not enjoy this as much, but it is a good introduction into fuller "tones' so to speak.

I didn't care for the initial tobacco scent. However, it wears off in about an hour and the fragrance leftover is wonderful and long lasting. Use sparingly because it has staying power. Not disappointed. Good option to have available.

This is a beast! I applied 2+ sprays. The first was with the atomizer being primed. This lasted through a hot day. It wasn’t until 12 hours later that it died down and the other notes presented itself. This isn’t for the meek. A single spray can work wonders for you. Tobacco is the most prominent note. It is eventually followed by vanilla, cinnamon, and guiaca wood. There are other notes that make this unique but there’s so much to this. All I can say is wow!

This was SO strong- I could smell it through the box! And very very masculine. It reminded me of what you would smell on a rich Arabian prince or something. I can see how people would like it, and was excited to receive this, but it ended up not being a good match.

It is a little more on the spice side than I wanted. I cut it with a vanilla oil and it is more to my liking.

Strong longevity and silage. One spray is enough for me and I can smell myself all day. It smells just like tobacco. The only con for me is sometimes I get a whiff of an alcohol smell long after the dry down but it's not consistent.

I was excited to try this. But unfortunately I didn't like this to much.. I did give it to my husband to try, he used it and hated it.. He said the smell was over powering and wanted to come home to change his shirt, the smell was giving him a headache. The fragrance is definitely of tobacco. Smells like a cigar/tobacco shop. I got this for my husband. I tried it on myself as well, but I think I prefer Nirvana Bourbon because of its subtle sweetness. Red Tobacco has no sweetness, it's very smoky with a dry vanilla undertone rather than sweet, if that makes sense. Cedar and pipe tobacco are very much at the forefront of this scent. A little goes a very long way, my husband gives himself one spray at five in the morning and still smells wonderful when he gets home at 7pm. He gets tons of compliments when he wears it.

I normally love these kinds of scents but, for some reason, I could not stand this one. I think it was just too intense and overpowering for me to enjoy.

Opening took me a minute to place but it's very similar to the opening and paper drydown of MFK Oud Silk Mood. That passes after 15-20 minutes and it becomes COBBLER! OMG! Like peach (maybe apple or apricot) cobbler! I get fruity, sweet, cinnamon and sugar, with a dash of nutmeg. I even get the hint of something tart/sour used to soften the sugary fruit (as is done in apple pie/cobbler) and cut the sweetness a little. The tobacco is distinct but more of a clean, sweet, wet tobacco (e.g. amouage sunshine woman). It facilitates that imagery of where the cobbler crumble topping meets the pie filling (if that makes any sense). The opening makes it seem masculine but that dry-down is just delicious--very sweet. I feel comfortable as a woman wearing this and don't find it overall, particularly masculine--especially once that opening fades. Can't wait to wear this in the cold! A few hours in, this cobbler vibe starts to ease off and floral/vetiver tones come through with that synthetic snorting salt note I pick up in most other Manceras I've tried. Hmm...

I really love this scent. I was a little unsure when I chose it but I am so very glad I did. Warm, lasts a long time. For some reason this one looked more "oily" on my skin. It really clings to the skin.

This was just way too strong for me. I usually wear Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and was really looking forward to this scent, hoping I would find another warm scent to add to my mix. This was just too powerful for me. The tobacco was almost too overpowering on me and the scent lingered in my room for much longer than I would have liked. I'm glad I tried it on at home and was able to shower after.

I’m a member of ScentBox and luxuryscentbox.com obviously for the bigger bottles. ?? And this Mancera is amazing as I get the most compliments on. It’s dark and mysterious and very sexy. It makes people stop and ask you...WTF is that!?!?! The line Mancera’s, Montale’s, Tom Ford and Amouroud from LXB are the best. Parfums De Marly and Creed don’t even compare. Trust me.

I like it, a bit. It starts off very strong so be aware. The tobacco reminded me of a cigar room in a tobacco store, it was very nice. The only issue I had is: as it sat it became more and more feminine. I'm not shy about feminine scents but this one went a bit too far.

Very good scent however my first four months of boxes were in a very nice box and came full with my fragrance but the last two boxes haven't been boxes at all and the fragrance has been leaking out of the bottles. I love this scent. First time I sprayed it on a piece of cardboard to smell scent b4 spraying on skin, it blew me away how strongly a single pump projected off the card several feet away. After a few hours I decided to spray one pump on my chest to catch a whiff off my skin and it was lovely. 5 or 6 hours later my wife walks in the room and is like WOW< WHAT ARE YOU WEARING......YOU MIGHT GET SOME TONIGHT, LOL. Just the projection 2 pumps of Red Tobacco filled my bedroom, 1 radiating off my chest and the other across the room on piece of cardboard on my dresser. The first day I wore it out, the scent was still going strong 12 hours later

It smells just like it says. Fresh tobacco with some spicy notes and it's just so unique. I love the rich sexy vibe it gives.

To me it is very sweet and earthy. It might be initially off putting because it doesn't smell very masculine at first and that might scare some people. But I think it's a great fit for me. Great for date night or just for when you want to feel like a sexy ass dude.
