I wanted to give this a higher rating, but at this price point, I just can’t. My wife said the opening smelled like Banana Boat tanning oil, and while the dry down is decent... but it ends up being a skin scent pretty quickly. I used to LOVE Creed fragrances, but their performance and longevity have steadily gone downhill. Will I wear this in the summer to the pool or beach? Yes. But with so many great alternatives to every Creed fragrance out there, I’ll have to pass on this one and find something with better performance.

Creed Virgin Island Water is a fresh, tropical scent with notes of lime, coconut, and rum. It’s ideal for summer, offering a relaxed, beachy vibe. Longevity is average, but the quality and uniqueness stand out.

This is not my usual perfume. I wanted something for Summer beach vacation, and this hit the mark. It smells like a drink you would sip by the pool. On me the lime was VERY strong. But the other notes start to come through during dry down. I would have given 5 stars but for this price point, I need a perfume to last more than a few hours.

i like this fragrance in the bottle a lot but on my skin it smells like bug spray. I feel like i can't wear anything with pineapple in it. it always smells weird on me. It's a bit too manly for me so i gave it to my son. He really likes it.

Smells good to me

I have a few good summer scents and a few great summer scents. Virgin Island Water is one of the greats. I am strictly talking about the scent only. The lime and coconut is so delicious to me almost making it gourmand. My favorite fragrances are tropical scents because of the amount of days I can use them in the climate where I live. I wore Virgin Island Water to work on a day where it was about 104° and got about 7 hours before it faded.

This a summer Saturday morning in a bottle. It has a nice clean, fresh scent with light citrus notes. It’s doesn’t project like crazy and sits close to the body. Definitely an office lunch date and a day out with the fellas fragrance.

This is the best Creed scent hands down. It's long lasting, it's effervescent it is Summer vacation in a bottle. It transports me easily to a beach with white sand and umbrella drinks ...oh and i love to smell it on men too. 10 out of 10 i recommend

I'm very much a winter parfum person which led me to scentbox to try more summer scents. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the notes. It is not sunscreen-esque as other's noted. I could wear this as a 45 y/o business professional to the office and to a business dinner, or out on weekends. Reapply is necessary as it is not long lasting, but the after notes/dry down is lovely. Would have 5 stars if lasts longer than 6 hours.

I am obsessed and can’t wait to see the difference on how it smells with my man’s chemistry. It starts out completely lime. So citrusy, but then the rum and sugar pulls through almost smelling like a cocktail, then as it starts to dry down, that jasmine and coconut come through and pulls it all together. It is so beautiful. Refreshing. I would repurchase again and again. This will be perfect for the summer. And very unisex!!

This scent screams vacation mode! It's fresh and clean and smells like a tropical breeze. I love this one but I'm really happy that I have a decant versus the full bottle because it's really a summer fragrance.

It's a lovely light fresh scent, with unique notes. You can definitely detect the coconut and lime. Only 4 stars because it's not very versatile, this is a summer only scent, and just not one of my favorites.

My favorite creed scent!

A blast of coconut and lime with a hint of cologne. I was an instant fan. I can’t imagine wearing this any time other than in the summer… it would feel really out of place lol. It doesn’t last long (most Creed don’t to me). I don’t think it’s worth the price but I’m really happy to have this as travel size.

Great vacation fragrance.

This is one of my favorite creed scents, second being aventus. The scent starts off strong but it quickly mellows down to a sweet scent of the beach, coconut, and citrus. The only con to this fregrance is that it doesnt last very long. Maybe 2 hours on a warmer day. I catch myself having to reapply througout the day which is why I rated it 4 stars out of 5.

Smells like a spicy lime lotion you would get at Walmart. The lotion would at least last longer and project further. The smell lasts for 1 hour max. All hype. Better to get a lotion from bath and body works.

Did not live up to the hype. It's a great opening to be sure but it dries down to boring, barely there, muted coconut water and then disappears from my skin. I'm lucky if it lasts an hour on my skin. I expected something with more depth and nuance at the price point Greed sells it at. The projection is ok, nothing to write home about but I suppose it projects more in high heat/humidity. It does stay smelling great on clothes though. Definitely would be worth buying and respraying if it was priced like the body mist it is. My younger sister says it smells like a bath bomb in a good way. "Smells like something at Lush that's definitely yellow," were her exact words.

It opens up with a nice fresh lime scent, which unfortunately quickly fades once it dries down. You can smell a hint of coconut but I could mostly detect musk with a bit of rum. Overall, it gave kind of a tropical "vibe"...somewhat like what you would smell while sipping on a nice rum drink with lime in it. This doesn't project well, however, I can still smell it (faintly) on my clothes and skin for hours. I have heard of dupes for this that I will probably try out to see if it projects better than this, since it's quite expensive. I would also add that it definitely comes across as unisex, maybe slightly masculine leaning.

Fresh, lime, salty, long lasting. Virgin Island Water is the right name for this, but it doesn't really strike me as tropical or beachy - at least not your typical beach scent. Very upscale, and totally unisex. This isn't my signature Creed scent because weather plays a big role in when this is best worn (warm weather) but it's great, and this is definitely a fragrance I would keep in my collection.

This was disappointing to me. I have heard about this scent for a long time and thought I would love it. I love all tropical scents typically. This one smelled just like Bath and Body Coconut Lime Verbana when I wore it. It had a little more mature vibe to it but the lime was overpowering to me. Didn’t last. The dry down was very peppery on my skin.

The reason for my 5 stars is the quality of the scent. Its undeniable. A very pure, real, tropical beach smell. It doesnt have any synthetic notes. Its like I dunked my nose in a Pina Colada on a yacht off some golden coast. Many scents like these come off as a fake "coppertone" scent. This is as pure as it gets. So if you are looking for a HIGH quality beach vibe scent that makes people think you own a yacht, this is a prime contender, even if it cost as much as one.

I usually love citrusy scents. Lime, when done a certain way, is amazing! This scent, however, gives me heavy Lysol vibes. The Lime hits very harshly and is reminiscent of a restroom cleaner. I guess the plus is that it doesn't last long. Once I sprayed it on my skin, the scent melted away within the hour.

To be honest it smells more like a body spray than a perfume. If you are looking for a light everyday clean scent this is for you.

This is a really good scent, but I must admit that I like it on my husband more than on me. At first spray, it honestly smells like spicy fruit loops. The dry down is boozy and tropical. I love the smell, but not on myself. The longevity is a little lacking on this this one.

This scent smells amazing. Reminds my wife of Key Lime Pie and she loves how it smells on me. Nothing else smells like and I don't think you can go wrong with the scent.

I'm really not convinced by most of the Creed scents that I have tested or tried over the years. I am currently all about citrus based, and summery scents - helps living in Florida - and thought I would give Virgin Island Water a chance. Well I was very pleasantly surprised. It is bright and bold as soon as it hits my skin, but it dries down quickly but stays strong. I was surprised by how forward the coconut accord is and never thought I would ever say I enjoyed coconut in a scent, but it really works here. As VIW continues to dry down, it becomes a bit of a closer scent and the floral complexities come to the fore. But you don't lose the citrusy lime and coconut throughout.

I wanted to like it. Unfortunately, when I put it on, it smelled great for a minute and then faded away. So disappointing.

I wanted to love this. I didn’t want to fold to the reviews but this really smells like Sprite. When you first spray it, it smells like a lime, then it settles into a powdery, smooth pleasant smell, but you can only smell that if your sniffing yourself. It doesn’t radiate what so ever so it’s almost pointless to wear. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this.

Ordered it twice. I really don’t like it compared to YSL or Zen. My bottom line is it’s a clean lemon smell with a slight hint of bug spray.

This really is about chemistry, smelled great on my nephew.. as for me, my chemistry made it smell like Bug Spray. He even sed Wow! This smells soo weird On you .. To me it leans more on the Masculine side then Feminine.. but to each there own , this fragrance is really based on your body. I’m just shocked at how different it performes on everyone.

The power of a good fragrance, first and foremost, is in the mood it can put you in. Versace Eau Fraiche, for example, makes me feel fresh-out-of-the-shower clean, all day long. Creed Aventus makes me feel like a handsome, high class lady's man, etc... This fragrance, Creed Virgin Island Water makes me feel very clean and relaxed! As if I am on a beautiful island vacation. I love the Pineapple\coconut projection. Very tropical. This is a fragrance that I'd wear to a casual event. Like an outdoor barbeque, on a date to a dimly lit, cosy restaurant n a warm evening. On a night when after after a few drinks at the bar, my beauty and I are taking a romantic walk. This fragrance says, "innocence, relaxation, letting go and living in the moment. No worries. Everything is perfect. Life is perfect. This moment is perfect. Life is an amazing vacation and I'd rather be with no one else, in this gift of a moment, but you"... On longevity. I disagree with the reviews that claim the blissful smell doesn't last. It DID for me! The way I test is by spraying on the neck area of the shirt that I'll be sleeping in and if I can still smell it in the morning, when I awaken, it passed. This fragrance stays with you all day long! Creed truly makes some HIGH QUALITY products!!!

This is a beautifully balanced fragrance. Notes of citrus and coconut. It smells like a tropical paradise.

Smells good but it’s not very manly. More of a vacation in the tropics or woman’s scent

Don't get me wrong, this fragrance smells great. The longevity is the problem. I swear it doesn't last more than 1+ hour.

Don't get me wrong its a great fragrance however as a man I can only give it 3 stars, on my wife though I'd give it 5-stars. It's too feminine in my opinion to be unisex

Indeed I do love this fragrance. However I wish it did last just a bit longer. It does put me and the mind of in nice beautiful summer day. It is something that I would actually wear on a date. However I would have to be very close to the woman I'm dating just for her to smell it. Nonetheless is a wonderful fragrants

i like this scent, wish i got it with warmer weather! It is a casual scent,definitely a day time/work - i wouldnt wear something this LIMEY on a date. i personally get very strong hints of lime, i can almost smell nothing else. but not in a overpowering way.

I love VIW. Its so fresh on the opening, like you just got blasted with coconut in the face. It does not last the longest which I think is its only downfall. I give it a 5 star because of how amazing the opening is. If you havent got this one i suggest it.

The opening with its bergamot, citrus, and the signature coconut set the tone of tropical freshness; and the gradually developing rum-infused booziness firms the hints towards the Caribbean theme. Further into the drydown, a floral theme is added into the mix, with ylang-ylang most prominent on my skin, although jasmine and a good measure of ginger are present in the background. The base adds a touch of sugar cane, but through the whole longitudinal development it is the rum and the coconut that constitute the core components on my skin, with the coconut at times rather heavy and creamy at some stage. I get moderate sillage, excellent projection and a very acceptable longevity of eight hours on my skin. A rich tropical creation that puts Caribbean inspirations into the bottle. At times some notes are pushed a bit too much to the periphery, but overall the concept works well. 3.5/5.

Love it. The first time I tried it I went out several minutes after 2 sprays, and I was stopped by a woman passing by me asking what I was wearing. It's a very unique scent. It might not be for everyone, but it is definitely for me! Awesome cologne 5/5

This is my favor summer scent I have ever smelled. It doesn't last more then a hour. Plan to carry the little travel size with you.

Smells like a wonderful Beach Vacation

I really like the scent! It’s fresh, fun, and full of notes that give it a great spring/summer flavor. However, it seemed to wear pretty quickly.

Lime, coconut, suntan lotion, lumber, a bitter sweetness..rather unique and light on the skin. Undetectable after a few hours. Not a love but a fun, uplifting daytime scent.

I'm a big fan of Creed I do like the scent a lot I like the more Unisex scents lately and feel Creed does a great job with their Unisex smells wish they had more of them :)

Smells very citrusy and a little too sweet for my taste. It's not bad at all but just in my opinion this is better suited for a women. Didn't seem to last very long either. Very much a outside summertime vibe.

Summer in a bottle! Very cocktail-ish with the rum and coconut notes, which are very prominent. Average projection on my skin (1-2.5 hours) and pretty good longevity (7-8 hours). Solid daytime/beach/pool scent!

Love this scent everything i expect from the nose's at creed. Love the opening but even better love the long game as far as scent is concerned. Seems though that if your in a place were its warm the scent wears fast. If you wash your clothes a particular way it sticks great If your body's Ph levels are off it will effect the overall long game. Im very picky about potency and strength.. if im paying 90 dollars to 200 dollars for a fragrance i want it to last. And i hate to say it like this but aftershaves seem to last longer on scent than alot of mainstream colognes. Why? I have no idea. But if this scent lasted as long as say OLD SPICE or the old English leather it would impress me and i would gladly pay the full price

For me the coconut was too much. Reminded me of wearing sun block on the beach. Not a bad smell but not one I want to wear off the beach or when I am not pool side. I was expecting more of a citrus given the name and without reading much about the fragrance. Note: my expectations were pretty high with the Creed name.

Dry down is better than opening but smells more like a cleaner than cologne to me. To each their own...some people love it!

The opening is great. There's a tiny bit of coconut and a load of lime in the beginning. Within half an hour, there is only a loud lime. Soon even the lime fades; within an hour there is nothing left. I have tried many clones of VIW, and to be honest, the clones are better than the real thing. Scent and performance in no way match the price.

One of the best fragrances I have ever smelt! Vacation in a bottle! Summer time! Will Smith! I just wish it lasted a little longer.

I have had several clones and I was anxious to smell the real thing. There is no doubt, it smells of quality. The first hour is a wonderful thing. The problem I had is after about two hours, it dies quickly. If it lasted, I would say it might be worth the price tag for a full bottle. For the price, I will go with the Alexandria version. I am very happy I got it however and hope SB gets in other Creed.

The scent was ok... it’s still a bit chilly where I live so I will be trying this fragrance again once it warms up a bit.

Not my favorite but it's not the worst dont know if I would pay the price for a full bottle of this. I hope scentbox gets ahold of a few other of the creed products look forward to seeing some new options.

Smell like vanilla and coconut cream

I got a weakartificial coconut with some vanilla and neither did anything for me which was disappointing since I'm typically a fan of Creed.

Nice scent..... I get a salty mojito smell from this fragrance. Nice sillage for first few hours. Then goes away really quick on my skin. I have to reapply a couple of time if wearing the whole day. Thats why only 4 stars.

It smells really nice creed is one of my favorite brands. I'm planning on getting more. I wish scentbox had more creed brand colognes.
