This is my favorite perfume! The balance between warm florals and woodsy musk is romantic without being overpowering.

Slightly powdery but not too much for my liking. Gives essence of the elements and nature.

Love it! On me it is a perfect powdery, vanilla, cherry scent. Pairs well with any fruity body lotion.

Way too strong for me. The scent is beautiful (a powdery, flowery vanilla) but when me and my son smelled it, it felt too overpowering to the point of giving me headache.

I was really looking forward to this as so many people I like recommend it as a lovely, interesting fragrance and compare it to fragrances I enjoy like Hypnotic Poison and MMMM. I don't get sense of H.P. or MMMM at all, and instead find this to be very milky and get too much of the incense. Those notes blended in perfumes can be ok for me, but in real life I'll just say I physically cannot handle, to avoid being graphic. To me, it smells very much like a fresh baby and simultaneously seems very matronly (I get images of 1950s "mother-hen" head nurse in traditional white uniform with big bosoms managing the young nurses, lol). I don't want to smell like anything like that. I know I hate this one, but I think many others would like it and so at first I gave it 4 stars. But then I realized Scentbox may recommend fragrances based on my rating so I had to change it to 1.

This is a pretty, light, fresh fragrance. It’s one that can easily be worn whenever without being offensive to the majority of people around you. Vanilla fragrances usually don’t have a clean vibe, but due to the addition of musk and light florals, Amour does feel clean. It doesn’t veer too far into sweet territory, but it is noticeably vanilla. It isn’t groundbreaking by today’s standards, yet Kenzo Amour remains a classic for a reason. 4/5 stars.

I'd never tried it before, but I've received lots of compliments the few times I've applied it. It's sweet without being sugary and isn't cloying. Great for all ages.

Lovey fragrance! I don’t get the “woody” so much. I do get the sweetness and a slight muskiness. I also disagree with this being a winter scent. I wish it lasted a little longer.

I just simply love this perfume. I bought it in 2007 when it first came out. Used it, loved it to death, and then forgot it. I’m a perfume hoarder, and I wear all my fragrances. But, this just reminded me that I need to put it back in rotation. I’m a buying a full size bottle. I love it!

LOVE this one. It's soft and powdery, smells of rice powder, blue heliotrope, and vanilla play-dough. So creamy and so comforting; I want to wear this to bed every night. Zen in an abstract way, like the softest smoke of the most meditative vanilla incense. Great pandemic scent - a soft warm hug when you're stuck in the house in the middle of winter.

Really like this! I wish they brought back Indian Holi version of Amour (which I LOVED) but I digress. Unique, lovely, warm scent that doesn’t front load and lingers in a soft almost powdery way. Very nice.

I got this especially for the rice note. I tend to love perfumes with powdery rice scents. This did not disappoint. This a soft, feminine, powdery, white floral vanilla scent. I really like it. Very cozy and comforting. Staying power is not the best though, so that is why it gets 4 out of 5 stars from me.

This is overpowering when it's hot outside. The "rice pudding" notes in it are cloying when it is warm outside. BUT, if you wear this when it's chilly, this is a neat take on "gourmand." I cannot be swayed from thinking there's something about it that is exactly like rice pudding - sweet and satisfying. Combined with the almost nut-like woods and unusual flower notes, it's pretty and comforting. Like a nice sweater. I think wearing this while cuddled under a blanket with your special someone on a cold evening would work out very well.

Super nice floral scent. Romantic without overpowering. It's a little light, you might have to reapply, unless you like to switch from day to night with perfumes and this layers nicely with some for that.

I am a big fan of Kenzo pour Homme, so I wanted to try another in their line. However, this is another fragrance that made me realize I am not into sweet/gourmands. It's a very vanilla-y fragrance, the heliotrope and frangipani make it vey syrupy as well. There's a nice crispness because of the tea, and smoky and grounded with the incense and musk, but way too sweet for me.

This has a nice powdery scent at first. It smelled wonderful on the scent card, I wanted to purchase right away. I decided to sample on my skin. That's when things took a turn. On my skin the rice note is very pronounced that it smells almost weird like someone cooking rice with vanilla. I'm glad I tried it on my skin before buying based off the scent on the scent card.

I just bought this one and cannot stop smelling my wrist, I am sitting here in a T-shirt and sweats but still feel sexy! Reminds me a lot of Hypnotic poison but smells a million times better on me. I am not picking up on Thai steamed rice scent but definitely vanilla, very warm and inviting and maybe slightly powdery.

I tested this at Sephora 1/6/08, took home a sample vial and am still undecided. For a vanilla based scent this does not smell foody,which is a good thing, yet it is complex enough for a woman, not a girl. My only complaint is the edp doesn't seem to have enough staying power for me. I don't want to asphyxiate people but I don't want to feel like I have to reapply my fragrance often either. I like the dry down and the soft lingering woodsy vanilla note I just wish it stayed longer. No powderyness on me, its subtlety frustrating. Perhaps layering this fragrance will help it stay longer.

Forgot to mention, I really think a light hand in application is required here.

I only just found this in my local department store. I liked the Flower perfumes, but found that just a bit too much after a short time. I've taken a risk with this version, as it seems less heavy some how. It's "different" in a good way - sort of arty and creative - yet sexy too. I like the powdery part and the vanilla too, but the added ingredients make it special.

i like this a lot, it's like a more werable version of hypnotic poison by dior, which i love on other people but on me it gives me a headache. this one is softer, more cozy, less in your face. good winter perfume. i like to wear this in the day and at night i switch to dior addict. both vanilla perfumes, one is more like an angel and one like the devil. i also like kenzo flower le parfum, witch is more intense then the boring flower. wish it would last longer though, maybe it does but i just cant feel it anymore after a few hours.

Amour is a powdery floral fragrance. Not something I'd wear, but if you like that type of fragrance, give this a try.

Wow-so many perfumes have a "note" that bothers me - not this one. If you like Amazing Grace, this would be a nice night fragrance..deeper but not heavy at all. Good scent and a repurchase!

Kenzo Amour reminds me of incense and vanilla. It is a cozy, sultry scent along the lines of Burberry Brit, although not as sweet. I tried both Amour and Flower, one on each wrist, and could still smell the Amour the next morning. It really is lovely. I say try it!

I smelt this on a colleague at work and was following the scent all day, after spraying a small amount at the department store, i went out and brought a bottle. MISTAKE! whilst i still love the smell (very comforting) there is something about it that annoys me, i found that if you only wear it once in a while it is ok, but as a regular scent, no.

Like all the Kenzo perfumes, his newest is very beautiful, sensual, complex and inspired by nature. If you like Flower you will like this one too. It was inspired by a couple in love on holiday in a tropical paradise. Some very interesting ingredients. I like the use of different coloured bottles for the different sizes. Innovative as always from Mr Kenzo.
